the gun isn't illegal. the possession is.
That is correct. I misspoke.
the gun isn't illegal. the possession is.
the gun isn't illegal. the possession is.
how do you figure? the gun itself has to be illegal in order to make possession of it illegal, unless you're a felon who is not allowed any possession. i believe, for example you can be charged with simply buying an illegal gun, you don't have to take possession of it.
ok, define an illegal gun.
see us code or....for example...take a shotgun and saw the barrel and stock down....and then claim that is a legal gun
details. yes, the government can redefine anything they don't like as 'illegal', but that doesn't make it so according to their constitutional powers.
Now, according to this OP, what was illegal about the gun?
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
so your argument is, the founding fathers, over 200 years ago - who understood arms to be simple guns such as flintlocks - really meant that nuclear ICMBs - should be freely owned by all, as the right to nuclear "arms" should not be infringed....
how about a firearm that shoots mustard gas? legal gun?
the framers and founders believed that standing armies were banes to liberty, that the people, trained in arms, were the best defense of a free state. So yes, any weapon that can be used by the people, shall not be infringed.
I have to wonder, why is it that people assume that government is their master and that they may only have what government tells them they can?

As George Costanza once quipped, "My little man is an idiot". He had asked Jerry for some advice and Jerry responded that he should listen to that inner voice, that "little man", inside us all.
That said, there are people whose "little man" is a psychotic, raving lunatic. Thus, government attempts to protect society from such folks.
The framers and founders believed that only landowners should have the vote.
The framers and founders believed that women should not have the vote.
The framers and founders believed that only whites should have the vote.
The framers and founders believed that only state legislatures should elect Senators.
government has no responsibility to protect society from such folks, nor any liability for it's failure to do so. YOU are responsible for your safety and protection, thus the right to bear arms.
And when you have a major newspaper refer to our troops as "killers" or YOU start a thread saying "killers in Afghanistan.." and then post a story attaching that attribute regarding US troop actions, THEN maybe you might have a point.
Until then, you're just shoveling a steaming Mojo pile.
I do enjoy your insipid stubborness, Mojo....you're so busy spinning like a Mojo top you're not even reading properly, it would be funny if it weren't so pathetic.
I've highlighted/underlined the part of my quote above that you seem intent upon misinterpreting or not understanding.
The article you provide DOES NOT have a headline that says " US Killers Afghanistan accused of murder".....it says 6 ways to Sunday that they are "ACCUSED" of murder, that they "ACCUSED of FORMING A KILL SQUAD....they are NOT generally referred to as killers, which is how YOU referred to White in your title.
Big difference in the connotation ....get an adult relative or fried to explain it to you.
I'm "screaming"?
Are you? I didn't say you were.COLOR]
Who's posting in red and caps?
Obviously I am, genius....it's to hammer home a point that obviously you are too stubborn to deal with.
Here's a Christmas present for you:
YouTube - The Killers - Human
Grow up, Mojo.
Mojo top you're not even reading properly, it would be funny if it weren't so pathetic.

Nice try.
White killed. He is a killer. Accept it.
