Israeli leaders heap praise on Charlie Kirk as a staunch ally of Israel​

Mere minutes after news broke out that American right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk was shot, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared a social media post expressing his sympathy.

As Kirk was declared dead on Wednesday, Netanyahu and other Israeli officials rushed to eulogise the 31-year-old activist and emphasise his support for Israel.

“A lion-hearted friend of Israel, he fought the lies and stood tall for Judeo-Christian civilization,” the Israeli prime minister wrote on X. “I spoke to him only two weeks ago and invited him to Israel. Sadly, that visit will not take place.”​



Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar called Kirk an “incredible friend” of Israel.

Lie/strawman argument.

Nobody on the left is saying the people in question do not have the same rights and opportunities under the letter of the written law.

But we also know that the rabid, extremist right is always looking for ways to skirt those laws and curtail the equal rights and opportunities said laws demand.

So it's an ongoing fight for those who want to make America to live up to its creed.

Kirk represented the side that hates the fact the law demands that these people be treated equally and that wants to subjugate them.

I personally don't subscribe to the notion of systemic racism, but unlike Kirk, I don't go around ginning up paranoia about those who claim it exists.

The problem with Kirk as I see it, was that he was mainly interested in fear mongering and spreading paranoia amongst his followers about people who demand equality laws be enforced because he hated the idea of it and wanted to get his right-wing MAGA fans so riled up they'd want to keep a tyrant like trump in office which in turn, would have advanced his own prospects for future political advancement.

He hated the idea of equality and he made his moron followers believe it was a boogeyman coming to get them and eat their children.

So to speak.

I've seen a couple of clips of him stoking fear while going on and on over whites supposedly being replaced in an obvious white supremacist rant. I heard another one of him trying to justify forcing Christianity on the country.

Don't need to sit here and sicken myself listening to hours of that shit to understand what he was all about.

He was basically a modern version of Rush Limbaugh with political ambitions.

As I said earlier, even though I wish it had come about differently, in some non-lethal, non-violent manner, overall I'm glad he's finally shut up.
