Kyle freaking Orton

Haha, he's lucky its only preseason. But regardless he better show something the next time out.

Edit: And how about Dirty Sanchez throwing a 48 yard bomb on his first professional pass! Again, only pre-season but was awesome to see.

3 picks in first 3 possessions.
Gotta love it.

Orton's going to suck ass in Denver this year. Cutler is going to suck ass in Chi-town. And soon, BOTH will come to understand that there are worse things than playing for a team you don't like.

Playing for a team that SUCKS for instance.

LOL!!!

so orton threw 3 picks, whatever.

I'm going with Maddens pre-season stance and philosophy on this.

"if my team wins the first pre-season game, i'm making them lose the next two."

seriously, it's week one of pre-season with both teams in new offensive systems. try cutting each of them some slack.

Hey, I have the number 5 pick in my fantasy league draft and I've been looking at some fantasy mock drafts and a lot of people are picking Matt Forte at #5. I don't know about that. Would any of you guys take him that high?

Yes but I bet that Orton can get over playing for a team that sucks fairly soon.

Probably a little early for Forte...

Top ten....

Adrian Peterson... kid is just a machine

Michael Turner... last year was great, but with Tony G in Atlanta now, teams will stack against the run even less.

L. T. ... yes, I know he has been on the decline, but I think he is pissed at people writing him off. I think he has a huge season.

Frank Gore... yes, he plays for San Fran... but he is a very slimmed down version of last year. I think he returns to fighting for the top RB slot.

DeAngelo Williams... ready for a monster year

Jones-Drew... see DeAngelo Williams

Larry Fitzgerald.... I know many don't like taking a WR this high, but Fitz doesn't know how to fail...

Tom Brady... great offensive line, good running game, phenomenal receivers equals another big year for Tommy Boy.

Clinton Portis... can't stand this guy, so I am not going to say anything nice

Brian Westbrook.... all around great back, health is always an issue with him, which is the only reason I drop him this far

next five...

Drew Brees.... should have another big year.

Chris Johnson.... L White is the only reason this kid isn't higher

Matt Forte... once Cutler realizes he has no one to throw to, he will start feeding Forte more to avoid getting his ass kicked. Cause Cutler is a puss like that.

Brandon Jacobs... another good year coming right up

Larry Johnson... yes, this is a bit of a homer pick, but I think he might surprise people

No. I would not.

Check out this site:

http://www.antsports.com/adp.aspx

It provides average draft positions by position based on mock drafts that run on the site. Based on what it says (and historically I find it to be pretty good) Forte is averaging the third overall pick in mock drafts and is being taken from the first overall selection (high in my opinion) to the sixth overall.

If he is there at five it would not be out of the ordinary to select him but for me it would depend on who else may be available.

So I googled 2009 NFL Fantasy Football Mock Drafts and a bunch of sites come up so I just started looking through the various links which sounds like a mini very less scientific version of the site you referenced. And Forte was in the top 6 in most of them. I'm doing the drafting but my partner (we alternate who does the drafting each other) responded 'Hell No!' when I asked him what he thought of Forte at 5. Our draft's not for a few more weeks so I'm in no hurry just with the some of the names Superfreak listed my initial reaction is very skeptical towards Forte. I will check out your site though. Thanks.

Amazing. I've used that site during drafts for years.

It just goes to show you that not only do great minds think alike, but great minds and fair-to-middlin' minds think alike sometimes as well.
You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. I'd say you have a pretty good mind, not "fair to middlin'."

If someone has a hardon for Forte, then they will drat him when it's their turn. Is he a top 5 back? Not in my opinion. His value goes up a little in PPR leagues, but the guy is still just barely a 1st round pick.
