No, not every general should drive a tank, and that is my point. Leading by example does not require you to voluntarily do something that you are trying to require everyone to do, untill you have succeded in making it mandatory.

Now you I would expect this nonsense from, as you are exactly the type of person who would try to "misunderstand" a simple concept so you can overlook it from somebody solely due to party.

Leading by example is exactly that, doing voluntarily what you expect to require of others. If you believe something is right, the measure of a good man is how often they'll do it when nobody is looking.

I will say again, I believe people who would demand something of others because it is the "right thing to do" but refuse to do it until they are forced themselves are at the very least hypocritical, and very likely amoral.

You've become a bonehead of epic proportions.

"Paying more taxes" in & of itself is not a "good." The fact is, more money is needed - one way to remedy this problem would be to change the tax structure so that the very rich pay more. Maybe someday they won't have to, but regardless, the very act of one person paying more is not a "good."

Obama said it was " patriotic ".... yet Obama don't pay a little extra....his vp won't even give a pittance to charity.....

They can take ALL the money from ALL the rich and it won't mean shit.....don't you understand that simple truth.....

After 3+ years of Obama, no budget passed by his administration since he took office....not even 1 vote by his own party supporting his single attempt, and the natinal debt growing like a cancerous tumor, etc...

I'm gonna guess its the Democrats right now......

and we don't need to hear about the other numerous presidents that ran up debt in the past.....its history, its over, and can't be changed.....
