A 'lefty' in America is 'a normal person', obviously. But what do the weirdoes mean by it? It is based on the seating in the French Assembly during the Revolution, a long time ago, and the originals are long dead.

I guess the limp wrist has never seen anyone pulling a 5th wheel 20,000 lb travel trailer or a 30 foot cabin cruiser.

I'll explain the Prius in the simplest way possible. In the big cities, you don't have room for a big vehicle. Compacts are the smart choice if not just using public transport instead. Parking on the street with a big vehicle isn't likely to happen and the garages and valet cost a premium. Saving on gas is a bonus too. These people aren't driving the less developed rural roads where something more rugged might be needed. Vehicles have a purpose. If you drive an oversized vehicle without needing to you will have problems. In the city it is impractical. No matter how badass you think you are driving it you'll be the one to laugh at not the person in the Prius. You could try for a motorcycle to try and keep up that wannabe badass image but then you'd have no storage to carry work material.
