I'll explain the Prius in the simplest way possible. In the big cities, you don't have room for a big vehicle. Compacts are the smart choice if not just using public transport instead. Parking on the street with a big vehicle isn't likely to happen and the garages and valet cost a premium. Saving on gas is a bonus too. These people aren't driving the less developed rural roads where something more rugged might be needed. Vehicles have a purpose. If you drive an oversized vehicle without needing to you will have problems. In the city it is impractical. No matter how badass you think you are driving it you'll be the one to laugh at not the person in the Prius. You could try for a motorcycle to try and keep up that wannabe badass image but then you'd have no storage to carry work material.

Lefties like the Prius because it was the first cheap, reliable hybrid, and they think that they are saving the planet by driving one. They have zero knowledge of mechanical things or scientific reality, so it is the perfect car for them.

I remember a few years ago listening to the Sean Hannity show, and some snarky lefty called in and basically said that he was a good citizen of the earth because he drove a "Honda Prius". without hesitation Hannity called him a liar, because the Prius is a Toyota model, and no one who owns a car does not know who its manufacturer is.

Plus, the idiot Prius driver has no clue where the electricity to power his Prius comes from... Plus, he is still making use of gasoline all the same.

The Prius appears to be primarily owned and operated by lefties. They seem oblivious to what is going on around them, what the appropriate speed and following distance might be, or which lanes are meant for slower traffic. Whenever I finally get through a slow spot of traffic, it seems to be a lefty in a prius who caused it.

Yes, I can see that they are lefties. Hands at 10 and two, seat all the way up, no music. Unsexy people who can only stare at the road ahead.

I've had similar experiences with Prius drivers. I've seen a lot of them with bumper stickers plastered all over their Prius (another hint that the person is likely a liberal).

It is pretty bad when you see a left lane driver being passed on the right by Semi's on the interstate.

Left lane syndrome has long affected not just Prius drivers. I always see commercial pickups, commercial vans, guys hauling trailers, semis, and even the occasional tandem. Today I saw a guy in a Volvo wagon loaded up with two canoes on his roof.

The Florida Highway Patrol recommends all drivers to stay in the right lane and especially at night as drunk drivers who get in the oncoming lanes think they are in the right hand lane when they are really in the oncoming left lane. Thus a head on waiting to happen.

Left lane hogs can't think that far ahead. When I see a guy in the left lane not passing anyone, I know that he has both middle fingers up in the air at every other driver on the road. A lot of times they will speed up when you overtake them on the right. So instead of doing 7-over, I'll have to seed up to 14 over, or faster. Unless of course there is a car in the right lane, then they become "pacers".

Most Prius drivers I have personally run into are asshole-driving, smug, leftist, tree hugging, bumper sticker loving, mutilated fuckwads. Obviously not every single Prius driver IS that, but my personal experience with Prius drivers is chocked full of people like that.
