The differences I can see happening immediately are:
Catch and release ends. You enter illegally, you are going to jail until your trial. That alone will drop the crossing rate 70 to 90%. It has in the past.
Enforcement of existing immigration laws. You are here illegally and get arrested for a crime, you are going to jail until trial then when convicted will be deported.
If Trump and the Republicans can enact a law making it illegal for anyone not legally here to get a driver's license or other ID, that alone would take a major portion of illegals out of the country. No ID, no bank account. Virtually no job available to you. No wire transfers. No ability to enter a contract. Without a legal form of ID someone here illegally cannot function in society.
The easy way for Trump to make that one happen is simply start enforcing real ID requirements. You don't have a "Real ID," you are fucked. Tell legal immigrants and citizens to get one ASAP. The law is already on the books. It was supposed to be implemented already, but Biden kept pushing back the date. All Trump has to do is say, it's now in effect and start making it enforced.
It is fascinating that evil assholes like you are incapable of comprehending that leftists have lost and resigned with grace. Can you spell grace? Can you pronounce it? If Harris had won, you dumb fucks would be burning the country down and making up stories about electoral fraud while she gracefully allowed you Neanderthals to sit at the kiddy table.
