He did take steps to retroactively register the weapon in Mexico...he says.

and, you are aware, are you not, that some things are just going to remain mysteries in your life regardless of how curious you are? I, for example, have always been curious as to what the actual environment is on the surface of Mercury at that exact dividing line between the blazing hotness of the side that faces the sun and the side that is forever in darkness. Yet, as curious as I am about that, I know I'll never get to find out the answer. Lots of things in life are like that.... yeah they are!
 
It would be indeed sad if a retired officer of the United States Navy had acted in a manner unbecoming by knowingly violating the law, wouldn't it, Commander?

I think what is most important is to prioritize the things that are important to you and learn about those, and learn to leave behind the things that don't really matter in your life.
