Less Republicans believe in Evolution today than in 2009

one might actually say that if its been falsified, it isn't actually a supernatural event......thus the only events which ARE supernatural are those that can't be falsified.....

You are trying to act Christian with this argument. I'm a Christian and I know that the world has records dated before the Bible was created. I'm a Christian and I know that there were Dinosaurs that are dated before the creation of earth according to the human written bible. I'm a Christian and I know that there are human remains that date long before Adam and Eve.

Tell me about this Falsified term you speak of. Because god doesn't talk to people anymore like he use to back when story tellers were the entertainers. I always hope and wish god will talk to someone today. Sadly everyone that speaks up and says "god talks to me" is an absolute nut case.

I follow the path that God works through good people. It's not a "Jesus take the wheel" world. God won't hammer out problems personally. It's the PEOPLE that he works through that make the difference.

The Irony is that today, the non-Christians seem to be making the positive difference in society. I wonder if these people will be in heaven for being good even when they don't know why they are being good.

Ghandi said "I like your Christ but dislike your Christians" and not much has changed.

I was raised in a religion and have doubts all the time. Especially after reading some of the stuff here.
Exactly. I would like to know if some of the posters here were taught the outrageously rude behavior as part of their churches evangelistic outreach. Really now....would these people act like this if the person they sit next to in Sunday school was looking over there shoulders while they were posting...?

So your intellectually conceding the point in post 622 that non Christians are often doing the good in society and that there is nothing wrong with that....THANKS!

I see no reason to deny it.......were you fucked up enough to think anyone had?......this argument is about the opposite, one of your cronies denying the good Christians have done.....

so your defense is, you get a free pass on rudeness because you don't go to church?......

We CAN use science to disprove a supernatural explanation because we can use science to explain that some phenomena has a natural explanation. Your statements are contradictory. For instance, James Randi proved the claims of supernatural causation/explanation by Uri Geller and other psychics to be false by simply showing how they could be achieved naturally and setting up tests that falsified their abilities. We could have tested Oral Roberts claims of a supernatural healing power. It's only when they fail to make falsifiable claims that the supernatural cannot be disproven.
No we cannot use science to disprove a supernatural explanation. again, don't believe me? Go ahead and try it!

We can only use science to demonstrate that some phenomena has a natural explanation which has a high probability of being correct. Science does not deal with absolutes.
