Lethal Injection... Cruel and Unusual?

Does it make you an idiot to ask stupid rhetorical questions in a vain attempt to make the other party state something that you will then mutate from the form they stated it and try to capitalize on your mutated logic?

The death penalty is unnecesary in America, and since no good comes out of it, and it murders someone, it should be done away with.

It involves simplifying something until it seems absurd. How do you simplify something? You take out parts. Of course, these parts were important to the argument, and simply taking them out does nothing to defeat the complex and full argument. You're only defeating your own caricature, a superficial and pitiful victory at best. But don't try to tell Asshat this. It's all a Jewish conspiracy.

These relationships between capital punishment and technology which you assert seem spurious and nonexistant, honestly. Why can't you just say it's immoral? why do you have to invent relationships to technology?

He's attacking something other than the presented argument. The death penalty is wrong for numerous reasons.

Primitive is simply an insult she threw at it. It's not her argument for or against it.

It would be impractical for people in 10,000 BC to build a jail to house criminals. In the modern world, it takes up very little of our GDP. An argument can be made that the death penalty was necessary in some cases. However, mostly back then the "death penalty" was administered in ways we more commonly associate with lynchings.

In Nordic society the death penalty wasn't administered for murder. If you got into a barfight with someone and chopped their head off, you had to pay restitution to the family. Modern justice is more retributional than restorative.
