Let's stop pretending we don't know why most GOP Senators didn't vote to convict Trum

Here's something encouraging about our country:

It was the most bipartisan impeachment vote in US history.

Let that sink in...

EVERYTHING Trump did...was injurious to our Republic...and the (CMA) conservative morons of America have defended and encouraged Trump. THAT is the damage truly impacting on our Republic presently.

You are quite welcome. TA.

That isn't an answer, it's a sweeping generality, a logical fallacy. You need to give some specific examples of actions and effect to show how Trump damaged the nation.

Okay...allow me to expand on my answer:

Better?

So, you got nothing. Shouting it louder doesn't help.

You're an ideologue. If a liberal said today is Monday you would call them a liar.

No, I wouldn't. I might check with several other sources first, but I wouldn't call them a liar.

In this case, I asked for specific concrete examples. I got none in return. That is by definition "nothing." So I was being accurate in my answer. Your answer, in turn, amounts to a strawman argument made from thin air that is, as all strawmen are, intended to both distract and try to prove your argument by attacking a position I wasn't defending.

Dude, an insurrection is a civil disturbance. In this case a civil disturbance egged on by a nutjob President to overturn an election.

The jury is still out on how much of the coordination for the insurrection took place between the militias, the Qless and the White House.

Maybe Trump wasn’t directly tied to the planning, but I have no doubt Miller, and possibly Junior, were in ass deep.

Regardless, Trump would have been briefed “the plan was on”. His speech and the other speakers on the platform that day knew exactly what to say for maximum effect.

Once the leaders of the militias are rounded up and charged with domestic terrorism, they’ll start to spill everything they know since Trump betrayed them.....that’s if they don’t seek to discuss the matter with Trump himself. LOL

I think this post is spot on. The attempt at plausible deniability fails the plausible test.

no one cares what you think

Actually the democrats were destroyed by the defense, it was laughable actually.

The case was over as soon as they showed the tape of Biden and Harris using the exact words Trump did.

Then the democrats refused to allow witness testimony because the republicans said they would call democrats to testify under oath and that scared them shitless.

Now the democrats look like the fools they are, only using impeachment as a political weapon.

They have forever made impeachment not an important thing which means you can guarantee that we will be impeaching Biden when we take the house.

Congratulations for one of the dumbest posts in this board's history. You are proudly all dead wrong. Trump's lawyers were laughed at by lawyers and legal pundits. They were so bad that they were embarrassing. That was not laughable but sad.
Are you saying you could not understand the difference between fighting to pass a bill and fighting to take over the capital? You really can't? That is sad and revealing about you.
I assure you you are wrong about witnesses too. You are living in a truth vacuum. But you are a brick wall of ignorance and lies.
Impeachment will always be a big deal, even after the stupid one the reds did to Clinton.

Well, no, because neither Biden nor Harris incited a mob to overturn the election by storming the Capitol with force.

It was an facade, a fake impeachment, you cannot impeach a former president which is why the SCOTUS did not preside over the hearings as laid out in the US Constitution

Trump was impeached while in office, though. The trial was the result of the impeachment.

A trial can definitely happen after the president's term has ended. Otherwise, a president only has to wait until the final days of his term to commit an impeachable offense if he doesn't want to face the consequences of his actions.

Agreed shouting louder doesn't help. Donnie Junior is shouting louder on Hannity. Pretty funny. LOL

I have no doubt Junior is up to his eyebrows with the militias. I wonder if they blame him too for the betrayal by Big Daddy.

Maybe the reason(s) is obvious:

The Jan 6 capitol riot wasn't an insurrection but a civil disturbance (aka riot).
It was planned in advance of that date and Trump wasn't involved in that planning.
Trump's speech was typical political rhetoric as shown by numerous other politicians in both parties regularly using it.

Of course, we could toss in that the Left is fricking insane and should never be coddled, but....
Donnie Junior is working hard carrying Daddy's water on Hannity.

I have no doubt Junior is up to his eyebrows with the militias. I wonder if they blame him too for the big betrayal by Big Daddy?

...and Trump's T-Team labeled all of his fans as criminal insurrectionists, criminals and lawless actors. The ultimate betrayal. LOL
