Liberals want to abolish police lol. How will this end if they are successful?

We have an ultra liberal mayor with a complicit city council and have a police department here that is a dream .
E.g., shoplifting is a crime but it's not enforced. So you can go into any store and take what you want without paying.
Car theft is a crime but the thief is only prosecuted after the third time caught.

In my area police do target young black males regularly. They get pulled over constantly. I tell them not to make it easy. Keep your tag up to date. Make sure all the lights work. Don't have your car smelling like a pot dispensary. In my business I deal with alot of police and alot of black folks. Most cops are extremely professional. The rare pecker head is the one that lasts in your memory unfortunately.

My area is plagued by drugs, shootings, and murders.........between black folks. Gangs or turf or "baby mama drama" as one officer told me. My vehicles windshield was hit by a stray just a couple days ago.

I get so tickled at the "tRumpbots" referring to another group as being "ignorant". Especially when you consider the bizare and outright lies that they believe ONLY because they come from tRump. Talk about a collection of brainwashed folks.

Lol I wish! I'm here again. Most of the businesses like mine were broken into last Saturday and Sunday. Had we not stayed we would have been included in that group. We prevented 2 attempts. Now its calmed down but I'm fearful that the second I leave they will try again. Sucks. Wife is upset and scared. I'm out of my schedule for food and sleep. Tired.

Well, if you want policing to be cheaper, end public sector unions. That would make all public sector work cheaper.

As things currently stand, the unionization of public employees has led to massive pensions, corrupt policies, and various forms of abuse.

I used to work for the state kinda....contractor.....I watched the state leaders work with the unions to keep citizens in the dark as much as possible re labor deals.....they together worked to oppose transparency......just as I was watching Washington give the rest of the world stern lectures on the importance of transparency in democracy.......how others did not measure up to the standard.

I learned decades ago that money and power corrupts. My grandfather told the story of how he got his printing business off the ground way back in the 40's. He basically printed all the campaign material for a man running for mayor of tampa. This crook won and rewarded my Grandfather with all the cities work he could handle.

On another crooked note the money abuelo borrowed from a family member to start the printing shop was won playing bolita. An illegal lottery game played in the ybor city area years ago.

On a coincidental note my other grandfather was a bolita salesman. I was in my criminal justice class in high school. The teacher was teaching about bolita and the ways that criminals would try to hide the evidence. In one example the criminal ate the numbers. When my teachers partner tried to open his mouth to retrieve the evidence, the criminal bit him. I knew that story so I asked if it was an amoco gas station and a short puerto rican man who was eating the numbers. It was. I told my teacher that he had not been totally truthful that he didnt tell the whole story. He asked what I was talking about. I told him that after my grandfather bit his partner they beat him so badly that he couldn't work for days. He simple said that they had much more flexibility back then while turning red.

I am on your side pal- I really am!

But, I also realize that there are a lot of dynamics playing into who is doing the looting, why they are looting, and who is instigating the looting, AND WHY THIS SHIT IS ALL HAPPENING BEFORE US AGAIN RIGHT NOW.

Things are not always Black and White- Things are not always as they first appear- and things are certainly not always the way we want them to be.

Simple answer at least from our area is greed and destruction as to why. I'm hearing from friends of my business that it's simply opportunists. People they know some family. I was warned by multiple customers that I was targeted. Not me personally but my business. Tampa police warned us. Another LEA that I wont mention warned us. They were right. My business was mentioned on social media as a target. Some of my customers actually warned those folks NOT to try that it wouldn't be worth the problems lol. In all to date we know of 4 attempts. 2 stopped by us and 2 stopped by locals warning that we were inside and up armed. Not counting the social media deal.

To your post.......it does seem odd the timing. With an election looming. I dont know though..........that would mean Floyd's death was premeditated.

One thing I learned......they are organized. Had a customer tell me the location of the next area. They are also smart enough to know that when police are occupied in one area there is an opening in other areas caused by reduced police in those areas. Its sick crazy.

Been hear since 9PM lol after working my shift earlier. Gotta open in 25 minutes and I'm way tired lol. Wont be able to leave till at least 3pm.

In a word... Badly. With the Left, when they get their way it always ends badly.

Defunding them means taking operations they are not qualified to do , out of their hands. Like people with challenges and those who need psychiatric help. The police make messes of those incidents. The prisons have to deal with them too.
In the past, we did have mental health hospitals that took care of the people in trouble. The police job would be easier if they did not deal with them.
They also want to remove problematic police, those with lots of incident reports and abuse charges. The city pays a ton in lawsuits. nationally it is over a billion a year. That could be way cut down.
Police departments are huge problems and they should be fixed.
The mistake is keeping things like that are. Even white people know that.
If a cop turns his camera off, he gets fired.

No one is saying abolish the police, defend the police doesn't mean eliminate the police, amazing how Fox and the like can reframe anything any some of the lemmings swallow it

It is amazing how we use police for nearly nearly every situation, from simple traffic accidents to mediating problems between neighbors, there are a lot of incidents where a police officer isn't really needed nor a guy showing up wearing a gun
 
I don't advocate violence but without police dems are likely to get mass slaughtered on the street I suspect then the police will be reinstated once they are all gone.
