Okay, by the deafening Silence, I assume you never found a post where I denied Bernie Sanders, caucuses with dems.

That's a diversion anyway. The point I was making is that anyone can say they are for protecting "civil liberties" and "economic freedom". It doesn't mean anything to me. Saying those things may make some kids swoon at a college libertarian meeting, but I guarantee you if you sat Dick Cheney down for an interview, he would claim his is strong for defending civil liberties. Everyone says that. Its a buzzword, its meaningless.

What matters is what you're DOING about it. Do you defend the adminstrations warrantless wiretapping, or not? Do you defend "free speech zones" or not? Do you believe in aggressive enforcement of voting rights laws, or not? Did you oppose the 1960s civil rights legislation or not?

These are the only metrics I can use, to ascertain if someone is strong on "civil liberties"

Darla was the instigator. I actually had to go back and figure out why it had gone like this. It was absolutely on fire about noon my time. If I took anytime at all to answer it I had to read two pages worth of replies. Now the only thing I would like to ask but am sure won't happen is everyone forgive everyone when it got heated and dumb shit was said to you. It happens sometimes. If I offended anyone today I apologize. This thread made my day fly by on what would have been an otherwise slow moving day.

I am not a Libertarian nor a Vegitarian.....just a concerned conservative of the Independent ilk...so I would say y'all are ahead...but we real conservatives will win in the end....:cof1:
