The problem is you do not have a clue about economics. 90 percent of economists say tariffs are damaging. They result in a tariff war. The extra costs of tariffs are passed along in higher prices. The American companies will raise their prices too. They are not passing up those free profits. There is no mechanism in the equation that will bring prices down.
Manufacturers will not magically start manufacturing here. They will find another 3rd world country that will allow them to use cheap unprotected labor and no regulations to make bank. There are over 200 countries on the globe.
When China started costing more, there was a point where makers moved to 3rd world countries.
Why do you want us to do something so stupid? Trump has zero economic knowledge. He lacks humility. He makes shit up and thinks if it springs from his tiny mind, it must be true.

Yes, it is about decreasing productivity, and having less cash, by being less productive, and keeping production in the USA. We will have less cash, but we will keep it closer to home.
