This part you have absolutely correct. But guns have been around since the very founding of this country, so the problem very clearly isn't the guns themselves.
Is it actually?
Is that so?
Well, it needs to be something that's changed in the last few decades (when there's been an increased prevalence of shootings at schools).
That's not true.
But yes, many schools DO happen to be "gun free zones". BTW, "gun free zones" are a change that's happened within the last few decades.
Sure there is. And you seem to forget that it used to be commonplace to have guns at schools. Now, it's almost-always only a mentally ill and suicidal person who has a gun at a school.
No, it's not. It's the person misusing the gun that's the problem.
Funny that you aren't advocating for more car restrictions and fewer cars because inattentive and/or angry drivers "cars" cause people to die.
We've tried it your way: gun-free-zone signage. Can we now try ANOTHER way?
Under your logic, you think that cars are more important than children to this nation. You think that swimming at beaches is more important than children... knives are more important than children... tractors are more important than children... medicine is more important than children... cleaning prodcuts are more important than children... and on and on and on...
You are being ridiculous.
