Look. trying to say "Russia will crumble" is the obvious look at Russia as a "glorified gas station" -another McCainism.

But even if it does ( whatever shape that is supposed to happen) it fails to look at the Russian military.
Keep poking it-especially if Putin thinks it endangering Russia itself-and do you think Putin is going to weakly submit to the west?
Or is there a good chance it would lash out if the empire itself is in retraction?

In all probability China would step in and trade some economic development for hegemonic partnerships..
I don't know. I'm not going to make your case for you -
but it's way too simplistic to say "Russia is crumbling" and think that automatically defangs Russia.

The SANE WAY is to stabilize relations with Putin -which allows for the Asian Pivot as well -which was the point of my first post
