We can see where this is going, can't we? First all the chortling and glee about the alleged "trillions" DOGE has saved. Then the big giveaway to the 1% in the form of yet another tax cut. Followed, as last time, by a recession. Meanwhile, not one thing is being discussed about dealing with inflation, notice that? Instead, it's being made worse by tariffs. The gap between income levels will be even larger than it is now.

It's the sort of thing that led to the French and the Russian Revolutions.

And IF and when those tariffs ever get put in place and the cost of just about everything goes up by 20/25/30% or more then they will start crying about it.
They cried about inflation under Biden a lot of it caused by COVID and not saying a word about these tariffs that will drive up the cost of goods we buy and it is being done on purpose.
They got what they wanted now we all will have to pay the price.

A minimized government is unable to properly regulate the corrupt rich and powerful. That's why right wing billionaires pay organizations like Heritage Foundation to convince the public to minimize government. Those who are coerced by this anti-American-government sentiment unwittingly play into the hands of corrupt wealth, and cause our government to serve the rich instead of we the people.

We want the power of the president to be checked. Our nation is designed to have checks and balances.

The authority of the president is supposed to be only 1/3 of the balance of power envisioned by the Constitution. The power of the executive branch is to be balanced with the power of the legislative branch and the judicial branch. Massive wealth has corrupted all three branches to allow vulture capitalism to prey on the general public. As a result, things are overpriced with crappy quality and low wages/benefits. Healthcare is particularly overpriced. Nobody should be getting rich in the business of providing healthcare to the nation. They should earn a good living for what they do; but the fact that so many in healthcare have become billionaires as people suffer and die needlessly is reprehensible. That is what got a healthcare insurance CEO murdered. The plight of the accused is well understood and identified with by millions.

There was no justifiable reason to shut down the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. That was done by and for greedy rich people. The move goes against the American public; and supports unregulated rip offs and greed. Nobody has explained why the CFPB was shut down. DJT did not campaign on doing that. "Hey! Let's take away the agency that gets you money back when you've been ripped off!" Dumb. Nobody voted for that.

What MAGA is doing is bad for America. MAGA has not figured it out yet. Many never will. But it is true.

We created our own government. We have the power to improve it. The oversimplified assumption that "Government bad. Make government small," is not the answer and will not make America great. It will allow the richest and greediest characters to extract ever more wealth from the 99% and increase wealth inequity. Making a few richer, while ripping off others, does not make America great.
