Trump’s bans were a joke, never stopped traffic from China nor elsewhere, all they did was ban Chinese nationals from coming here

Now there’s Trump’s big mistake, he let the States handle the virus. Trump declares a war on the virus, refers to himself as a war time general, and then abandons that leadership.

We had States competing not only against themselves in securing needed medical supplies, but also foreign entities and even the Federal Gov’t, as one Governor put it, it was like buying equipment on Craigslist. States don’t have their own CDC, nor do they have the resources or financing the Federal Gov’t possesses. And to make matters even worse, not only did Trump go it on their own, he attacked States for their approach, working in opposition to their efforts

Trump f*cked up from the jump, consequently the economy dumped and we have hundreds of thousands of deaths and counting

The Gallup question is whether you are better off than you were four years ago. The NY Post added "under Trump." Americans do not necessarily give credit to politicians for their well-being.

Didn't say anything about dead Americans. I said the NYPost changed the wording of the Gallup question to make it appear Americans were giving Trump credit for being better off.

I don't think the 200,000 dead people were part of the poll sample, so their misfortune is not reflected in the results.

Yes. And people think the economy is better when their party's president is in power than the other party despite any objective criteria. They also think the "world is laughing at us" when the other party is in power and the nation is "safer" with their party.

If Trump wins our democracy will be destroyed and if Biden wins we will become socialists.

Nothing you said is contrary to my post about how partisans view their president. My comments are about public opinion. You are making partisan election predictions.

Trump as as much a statist as the Democrats. We went from a $400 billion deficit to $3.1 trillion with increased government power.
