Everyone is a law abiding gun owner until they shoot up a school, or a concert, or a speech.................
That must be an issued talking point, because you are not the first liberal loon to regurgitate it.

But many many many law abiding gun owners are not being responsible with their fire arms and allowing them to be used tragically. We need to hold them accountable so that possibly current and future gun owners will strive to be more responsible and thus avoid tragedy. Is that too much to hope for or work for?
Soooo, in liberal lala land everyone should be punished for the actions of the minuscule few?

Why's that, Cyclops ? You gonna picket the polling booths with your rapid-fire penis-substitute ?
lol...that's when the March for Women planned it...the one on the 14th was just to get out of class.

You don't honestly think that the entire day was disrupted for "17" minutes, do you?
Getting kids to register to vote is one thing getting them to vote is an entirely different thing.
The point is, it wasn't a school sanctioned activity. The majority of the students did not take part.
There was no reason for disruption of the entire building for the majority of the day.
The 10 AM time was the problem? Why 10 AM during a school day? Who picked that? Why any school went along with it, I have no idea.

Would it not have been better to have a memorial at the time that the tragedy happened? As I said before, I know a building that chose to do that. The band took part, balloons were released, tributes read...it was a very nice memorial..I would guess that during school is when students get murdered by terrorists with guns so during school is when they wanted to make their point.
How many of them drive? Do you know that over 40,000 people died in accidents involving motor vehicles in 2016? If that was truly their message, they'd quit driving as they have a greater chance of dying in a motor vehicle than by a gun.
How is being held responsible and accountable for your firearms punishment in your mind?
Makes sense to me.

No disruption of the school day...in fact, teachers could have taken time in class to discuss and answer any questions.
10AM was clearly chosen by someone not affiliated with the schools.
People are already held accountable, laws limiting constitutional rights don't magically make people responsible.
Clearly, 10AM for a politically based event, not a school approved and school-wide event, was not a good idea. Because you're saying it was not a memorial..."Clearly" you know everyone's reasons for doing anything and "clearly" your way is better no matter the issue. Clearly you are guessing or wishful thinking.
Memorials have their place and time and are helpful for closure but this issue doesn't need to be closed. It needs to be dealt with and a memorial with balloons (which, incidentally, pollute the environment so shouldn't encouraged) won't do that.
