Maybe Obama really isn't black enough?

Who said "should never be discussed?" What a buffoon.

I said it's over-hyped, not that is should "never be discussed."

I said it is over-hyped as well, but I just as I do not share the conservative affinity for discussing nothing but terrorism, I also eschew the liberal need to act as if terrorism is a non-issue. Terrorism has been used in politics, yes, but it was not a threat invented.

Onceler, back on the topic, I just read that Rush Limbaugh is “urging” his listeners to vote for Hillary in Texas in order to “bloody up” Obama. Which is interesting since he was claiming that McCain isn’t a Republican and he wasn’t voting for him, blah blah blah. Just another SF “I just might Vote for the Democrat this year!” hack, I guess.

But anyway, I’ve seen interviews over the years where analysts have claimed that Limbaugh as affected elections.

Do you think he’s affecting this primary?

Yeah - that's been a big push for him these past few days. You watch; by November, he'll be a complete McCain hack.

It's pretty disgusting if you think about it; he'd rather see the chance for a worse candidate (in his view) have a chance for the Presidency, just for a bit of "fun", as he puts it. That guy is no patriot; how people still love him is beyond comprehension.

But yeah, that could be an influence. I think it could work both ways, though (if the word on this has made it out to Dem primary voters, I would expect a bit of reluctance to "side with Limbaugh"; plus, it illustrates pretty clearly who Republicans hope to run against in the fall)

He obviously believes that he can, and that he has sufficient following in the state to influence its outcome. I don't think that he's devious enough to attempt anything more complex than this, and that he believes McCain has a better chance against Hillary than against Obama.

One possible effect of this could be that Obama supporters may be further rallied (I saw a HUGE Obama sign on the lawn of one of the frat houses on my way to work on Sunday!) and show up in greater numbers, though they probably would have come out anyway. Perhaps some undecideds who don't like Rush will vote accordingly. Guess we'll see tonight. (after agility class for me!)
