She is rich, what would you expect her to wear? If the Romney's win do you think Ann Romney won't wear expensive clothing?

Of the things I would consider important someone wearing a $6k shirt on a national stage isn't really one of them.

If she wore a $60 shirt from Banana Republic to this event would you view her any differently? Would your thought be 'you know maybe she is a lot more in touch with me than I originally thought?'

You're right, it isn't the clothes, or the cost of them, it is the person, but a part of it is in the character they display. Just like when Michelle was to go to the food bank for a photo op, and she was wearing $500. per pair sneakers...It is in your face. She is telling America that she won't have to abide by what she preaches you should.

Whose outfit was approximately seven times more expensive, Cawacko? Obama's gown as discussed on this thread, or Ann Romney's outfit as shown on biased ABC? The point is, I seriously doubt Ann Romney owns any ensemble that exceeds even $1000.00, much less $7000.00.

Mitt Romney is worth a hell of a lot more money than Hussein is, yet the closeted caliph's wife is dressed far more exorbitantly than the GOP nominee's wife.

Romney's no where near perfect, but he beats the shit out of Hussein when it comes to choices for President.

The 1%?? How many men, still living, have made a serious run for the presidency? If you figure 10 people in contention in every election since '72, that is a field of 100 people, or 0.00003% Actually won the presidency? That list is about as elite as it gets.

This whole thing is nonsense. You want to make a point about Michelle Obama. But its a bullshit point. Is the President of the United States a "regular guy"? Hell no he is not. He is one of only 44 men in 223 years to hold the highest office in this country.

There are 12.7 million unemployed people in the USA. How far do you think that $7,000 would go if she donated it? A nickel to be split between every 100 people?? (someone check my math on that)

This idea that she should dress off the rack at WalMart because we are going thru tough times is absolute bullshit. This is simply a petty attack on her, with no real basis except bullshit.

Obama makes $400k a year. If she buys a $7000 dress, they make $400k. If she buys a $39.95 dress, they still make $400k a year. How in the hell does the price of her dress make ANY difference at all??

Well having a discussion over who would make a better President, to me, has very little to do with the shirt the first lady is wearing to the opening of the olympics. From my perspective they are both rich couples and both will wear expensive clothing. It's not something I really think about or care about. I am not a fan of the Obama administration but the clothes Ms. Obama wears plays zero role in that.

Grasping at thin air? By stating that rich people wear expensive clothing? I feel pretty confident in that statement. And by me saying Ann Romney wears expensive clothes is not a comparison to Michelle Obama other than they are both rich and both wear expensive clothes.
