Michelle Obama thinks being America’s First Lady is ‘hell’

Exactly what part of being the first lady would you consider heavenly?

Maybe you think having your every move and choice scutinized would be fun?

Perhaps the complete lack of privacy sounds like fun?

I guess having your family's every move criticized would a laugh for you?

don't get me wrong, i am not defending Obama or any other poliical figure. But if you think being the first lady is a great job, you are delusional.
The only great thing, I could pick which Hollywood performers or musicians I could have entertain at the White House, Blake Sheldon, Usher, Outkast, Drake, Justin Timberlake... Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, yummy! Then there would be Matt Cassell and Ernie Wheelwright, Romo even though he is a______! Brady Quinn, Chris Long, yeah baby!

She chose to be First Lady...the better part of discretion is...well knowing how to use discretion. While First Lady she ought to keep the bitching about her position and her critics to herself. What is it with her and Barry with all the whining anyways???

It's a stretch to say she "chose" it.

You have to read "Game Change" - she was basically dragged kicking & screaming into this...

I have it on my shelf!

Her whole body language says she doesn't want this job, as did Laura Bush's!

guys is clearly in way over his head and his wife hates it. how is that unreal?
I would guess that most know it is going to be rough, but the reality of it is hell!

Just like rock stars and fame, it seems cool until everyone wants to be a part of your life and know everything you do. You can't even pick your nose without someone noticing it!

It would be unreal! The stress, I have my everyday life stress and I can't imagine their stress level and you think you are ready, but the way I see president age when they are in office tells you a different story of just how much hell the job can be! Obama with the economy is having an even more difficult time and the fact that he is racially mixed! It was just like Kennedy and Catholic! He has so much more to prove!

She chose her role. She campaigned for him. To think a strong woman like Michelle Obama had no say, or that her and her husband did not make a joint decision is stupid. She married him and signed onto his political career...wherever that might go.

She is FL, she has a role to play and a part of that role is discretion! Her whining is disrespectful of the American people...and stupid. Every time she goes on a junket of any kind she sucks tax dollars for her expenses...she needs to can the complaints and suck it up!

So basically you're saying that Michele Obama ought to know her place? Nice.

Well that would be true if I left it disingenuous assholes to define what I am actually saying which is "she took on the role of first lady and to publically whine about the role is stupid and disrespectful".

Huh? Getting a health care bill passed is "nothing"?

He's already made his legacy two years into the job.

BTW, did you see the article? In the third picture Obama has his hand on Michelle's back. Where has French President Sarkozy placed his hand on his wife? :D

I wouldn't call health care reform a success yes it was a big and important and will impact everyone. It is also a failure it didn't reform anything in a positive way. Its costing the government and the average American more money. Obama has failed to fix the economy. Obama has failed to create a winning strategy in America. The National debt has greatly increase with no real gain.

The health care bill is a start. Even if it's the worst piece of legislation imaginable the glory of it is the government now has to discuss medical care for everyone. If forcing people to buy medical insurance is a bad idea then the government will have to come up with a better idea. The point being it can't be ignored any longer. It's no longer a question of can/should everyone be covered. It's now a question of what is the best way. Meanwhile, the country continues to move in that direction.

As for the national debt it was increasing without medical coverage. Remember Cheney's infamous words regarding war with Iraq, "It was an option and we could afford it."

Both parties run up the deficit. It's time the money was spent on the citizens. Rather than question whether the government can afford medical care it's time to question if the government can afford other things, like war.
