Minnesota fourth-graders told to hide ‘equity survey’ questions from parents

Kelsey Yasgar said that although parents were "informed that the equity audit was taking place, they were not informed on the date of the activity and not given other details." She explained further that due to the lack of transparency from the school district and from Equity Alliance Minnesota, the third party that administered the survey, parents were not informed of the questions being asked to the students.

Yasgar was "very upset" when her daughter told her that she was instructed by teachers not to repeat any of the questions being asked of them.

We had been informed that this came down from the administration and Equity Alliance of Minnesota instructed them to make sure the children did not share this information with their parents and that should pose a great concern in any parents' eyes," Hayley said.

Fox News reached out to the district superintendent and Equity Alliance of Minnesota for statements but did not receive a response.

Lol, school rarely comment on issues. It actually rare when they do.

I just don't understand how all of these wild ass claims the Trumpsters are making about teaching CRT in public schools- which I believe is BS from the get go.

Here a school provides an equity survey to their students- ASKING FOR THEIR PERSONAL PRIVATE FEELINGS ABOUT THE SUBJECTS OF RACE!

THIS?

THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE CALLING TEACHING CRT IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS?

And if a School District wanted to know how their own students feel about race- WHY WOULD THEY WANT THE STUDENTS TO GO HOME AND ASK THEIR PARENTS FOR THEIR OPINIONS- THIS IS ABOUT THE STUDENTS OPINIONS- NOT THEIR PARENTS!

SO, IF I WERE THE TEACHER IN THAT SPOT, I WOULD HAVE ALSO ADVISED THE LITTLE GIRL- THIS IS A QUESTION YOU NEED TO ANSWER FOR YOURSELF- AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE QUESTION- ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN THE QUESTION TO YOU MYSELF!

This Teacher needs a Teachers Award!

What is the purpose of a third party in the school ???
id have to guess. radical school boards like Loudon county I've seen use 3rd party sources to insert CRT into class.

Mn. is a hopeless fascist wasteland of Woke / defund / CRT etc.

probably some nimrods decided to do a survey for data so the can says kids need to be forcefeed this hubris.
just my guess though

The purpose for the Educational Equity Stakeholder Input surveys is to elevate community voices to promote equity and achievement within our school systems.

Creating educational equity within our schools systems and learning environments is multifaceted. We need to include the voices of multiple stakeholders to best understand the current state of equity and inclusion within our systems and schools.

This stakeholder survey is a crucial component to get a clear picture of thoughts and feelings around our current systems and structures. The tool can help schools and districts create a benchmark indicator, develop data and voice informed plans for improvement, and gauge the impact based on future input.

Based on our survey research and development process, we empower our districts and schools to gather student, staff, and community voice to advance equity by taking meaningful actions and the ability to gauge progress and success in their efforts.

The three major categories our surveys look to inform include:

Systemic and Programmatic Equity
Resources and Curriculum Equity
Student and Community Equity
These surveys are easy to administer, easy to take, and easy to understand. We will take time with you to understand your community’s results. We are able to breakout the data by several different categories including the eight different audiences that are uniquely designed.

We are ready to support your school or district in collecting this data. This data is collected virtually and can be easily done during Distance Learning experience. Contact us to get started today.

The Equity Audit will determine a degree to which:

1. The district exhibits a shared, articulated vision for systemic equity. (and systemic equity for students of color.)

2. The district embeds systemic and systematic evaluation of the efficacy of equity programs and systems.

3. The district practices strategic and effective utilization of resources for all learners to attain success.

4. The stated and practiced curriculum reflects the arts, achievement, histories, perspectives, languages and journeys of the community served and their place in the global society.

5. Student centered leadership, stewardship and instruction is practiced systemically, and systematically evaluated, and rewarded.

6. Internal and external communications across the system are effective and efficient. inform through multiple modalities, are welcoming and well-received, provide clear direction and offer various means through which to respond or request clarification.

Contact us to learn how we can support your district with these surveys today!

What are you afraid now of, grade school age opinions?

I never told my children- "I don't care to hear your opinions- on any subject"!

I always wanted to know the opinions of my children- no matter the subject!

And they were certainly always free to express them!

You are the parent, the school is not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone telling a 4th grader to hide something from a parent should get a beat down.

Anyone.

The goal of the left is to eliminate parents. And this proves it

Parents need to get a doll incase the teacher were to touch these kids. Kids should take these dolls to school and tell the teacher their parents told them not to discuss with the teacher what they were for.

See how these teachers like being kept in the dark about something

If my kids expressed an opinion I'd slap them and tell them to STFU. They both turned out great!
