I actually think I'm going to see it. My cousin and I used to have the He-Man and She-Ra castles. We'd play for hours......"By the power of greyskull......" I wonder if they'll do She-Ra and Thunder-Cats

LOL! And they make fun of me just because I used to go to science fiction conventions.

Did you dress up Ornot ?
I love Scifi, but have never been to a convention. And probably will never go.
No, I never did the costume thing, though I had friends who did.

Conventions are a lot of fun but they're primarily for people in high school and college, on the one hand, and the avid collectors of art and memorabilia on the other. These days I'd probably only go if an author I was particularly interested in hearing was there.

Now, I did dress up for SCA events, of course. ;)

You are making me feel old .... I had bought my Daughters the exact same set ...

I wish they still had them.. they are big collectables these days.... and when this movies gets released they'll be worth even more...

Heh. My dad collected comic books for a while during and immediately after WWII. He gave it up fairly young and never thought about it again . . . until one day during the late 60s. I had started collecting too and pointed out to him that if he'd saved his 1938 Action Comics #1 -- better known (incorrectly) as Superman #1 -- it would be worth nearly a thousand dollars at that time.

He got this funny look on his face and called his mother in Indiana later that evening.

Sad to say, she'd donated the entire collection to the local boy scout troop some five years earlier. He wasn't happy.

:D

I can definitely see that. I emailed my friends and the cousin I mentioned earllier and I think people are excited about it.

Ohh just remakes, no new ideas...darn...
Further proof that the cons have taken over the media :)

Uhhmmm.. no... I think American Idol, Obsession with people like Britanny Spears, Anna Nicole and Reality Television are perfect examples of liberal dominance of the media...
:pke:

Similar thing happened with my baseball card collection from the 60's and 70's. When the boom hit in the 80's .., I asked my Mother wha heppened to my cards? She replied "that old paper bag full of baseball players? I threw them out" ouch!!
Mantle, Mays, Aaron, Banks, Gibson, Marichel, Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson... all in the garbage!!
