It's pretty bad. I wonder how weird Tancredo felt, being the only one up there? It seems akward.

It wasn't in the newspapers because the liberal media was covering it up.

I'm sure he felt proud. The one most often called a racist because of a stand against illegal immigration is the one most committed to their cause. I'll ask him next time I see him.

The photo was pretty much crap. However, a quick search on Republican and NAACP you will find many stories on this very subject in the press.

The photo was too cluttered to be good fare for a front page.

I just wondered if he felt akward, not that he should feel ashamed of it.

Did you scroll down to the second photo? It's a much better one.

This needs to be in the press/media so people with darker pigmentation can see how the republicans feel about them.

They don't need a proper picture, the story would do.

Once again, check out a news search on google, it was covered.

This was the first I had seen of it. It wasn't on the front page of the NY Times.
It wasn't on the front page anywhere. I don't know how well it was covered by their own "Crisis" magazine. The attendance was poor, they couldn't even fill the auditorium for the Democrat candidates.

Yes, 2/3rds full. Not terrible, but not great. I think that a lot of people really have politician burn out, and don't believe that any of them are any different than the next one.

That's pretty much my take too. Plus, they have become a very partisan organization. The assumption is racism in the party, however their opening speaker, before any candidates had committed to being there, spent his entire speech trashing the R Party. While I understand that, an organization that is supposed to be non-partisan really shouldn't set the official tone that way. At least not until they get the answers to their invitations.
