Slippery slope arguments are fallacious.
Not when there is historical evidence that backs them up.

I will bet that if he was old enough at the time he loved to wear leisure suits
Leisure Suit Larry!
So you think that maybe if the "liberal" media had shown lots of scenes of children killed by us bombs and such during the Iraq war it might have changesd America's attitude about the war?
the NRA is extremist?? you do know that their nickname is Negotiate Rights Away, don't you? if the NRA is extremist, pray tell what am I?
What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? We're talking about the power images have to change behavior. No one is talking about legislating the NRA away.....they're talking about changing attitudes so that no decent human being would even want to be associated with extremist nuts, like the NRA and you know what.....it will probably work and that's what scares the shit out of the NRA fanatics.
Probably, but it'd also harden people against those images in the future. I know it made me apathetic towards violence.
wow....talk about extremest nuts....
It was quite an elaborate piece of propaganda to falsely blame the NRA for some mentally ill nut that killed 20 kids......its both sad and amazing that sane thinking
people could associate the two....false equivalence is putting is mildly...Goebbels would be proud of this one....
Like blaming the moon for sunshine.
When did Grind become a Christian, again? You support parts of the constitution you choose to support.Just like most Christians do with scripture. It is a common human failing.
apathetic towards violence.
Now we are getting back to my agrument about the media encouraging violence in America instead of discouraging.
Leisure Suit Larry becomes Freddy Kruger the vampire Zombie?
When did Grind become a Christian, again?
What's really sick about what has happened to the NRA is that they were once a great organization. I was once a member of the NRA. I took my required fire arm safety course from a local NRA affiliate when I got my hunting license at 15. I joined the NRA when I joined a local gun n rod club when I was 18. Helped out on a number of conservation projects and built networks with other outdoor sporstmen through the NRA. Things started to change in the late 70's when a very well organized group of right wing extremist took over the board of directors of the NRA in only what could be described as a hostile take over. Prior to that the NRA was very much a hunters advocacy and conservation group like Ducks Unlimited. Now they are the zero tolerence 2nd ammendment fanatics and right wing shills for the Republcian party. Many of us who quit the NRA in disgust (Including President George H. W. Bush) over their extremism have joined organizations, like Ducks Unlimited, that are what the NRA used to be like before they decided to become a bunch of out of touch wacko fanatics.
That's why membership grew by 100,000 right?
It grew because it was a requirement of a true Republican to join.
the NRA is extremist?? you do know that their nickname is Negotiate Rights Away, don't you? if the NRA is extremist, pray tell what am I?
Well, you can't very well be an anti-gun patriot, now, can you?
i support the constitution, you do not. it's sad how the constitution is a joke to you.
This is why you and I have been fighting lately, you make absolutely asinine assumptions about me that have no basis in fact. I've been a member of the ACLU for way longer than I've posted on this board, I suppose you think they're anti-constitution.
Not when there is historical evidence that backs them up.
nope, I love the aclu minus their gun stance.
