New James Bond Film

I see.
I did not even know it (or I forgot it).

Doesn't bother me.
As long as she looks like a gal and wants to be a gal...and has no male 'junk'?
She is a gal to me.

And after just reading her wikipedia 'file'?
Sounds like she actually was born a woman emotionally.
Now dating her would require more details.

But - since you brought it up?
I believe that a minimum of a large minority of people whom 'change gender' (to whatever degree) do it for attention rather than for any other reason.
Though obviously, some are completely legit.

My point is that "wokeism" and "PC" has always existed. The original Star Trek and James Bond movies are two perfect examples. It's pretty funny that people are complaining about "wokeism" in modern films, considering.

Yes.

See post 100 - 79 + 47 - 51...and add 4.

I would not know about 'wokeism' in modern films/TV...I gave up on them/cut the cable years ago.
At least the popular films/TV.
I'll stick with Indy's.
Same with new music.

BTW - I did not stop watching/listening to most popular movies/TV/music because of PC or woke or anything like that specifically.
It's because I think they almost all SUCK.
Especially since about 2010.
Though even before that - things had been changing since about 2000.

I DO agree with you that there has always been PC to varying degrees throughout history.
Even modern history.

But it is COMPLETELY different now in that the youth are pushing for more PC.
Especially the college campuses.
That ASTOUNDS me.

When I was in university in the late 1980's?
It was the COMPLETE opposite.
We were fighting for more freedom and the 'establishment' was trying to hang on to the 'good old days'.
And I gather it had been the same thing since at least the 1950's.
(BTW - I was probably 'liberal' then. Or mostly.)

Now?
I am 'the establishment'.
Desperately trying to hold onto freedom of speech and expression.
And the youth are trying to take that right from me.

The 'grown-ups' are 'cool'.
And the 'youth' are the 'squares'.

FUCKING WEIRD!!!

Nobody believed that the CRA would have been a thing.

If you had told me even 25 years ago that this was going to be the way it is?
I would NEVER have believed you.

Hollywood really went onto collapse around 2012, getting worse by the year. Now they make almost nothing worth watching.

BTW, ever watched "Blazing Saddles"? It's one of the most politically incorrect movies ever.

YES!!!

When I was a little guy...I thought it looked like a college film for adults.
I just liked looking at the commercials for it and seeing the red head with all that cleavage.

I never actually saw it in it's entirety until about 2000 or so.

Now I think it is INCREDIBLY REFRESHING!!!

I wonder what the cancel culture on campuses would make of that today?

Their heads would explode.

Mel Brooks was very bold in making it. Now it's a classic.
