New Polling Shows Support Growing for Legal Abortion

Abortion is a states issue not a national issue. If the majority of people support it they should take it up with their state legislature.

The problem with that is in Republican controlled states where "the majority of people" are silenced by gerrymandering.

The abortion issue was fatal to republican candidates in the past year, and will continue to be going forward. The majority of Americans support a woman's choice, and that why you will continue to lose elections.

Ultimately, unlike you I'd rather do what's right. If that means we lose then we lose. I'm not an idological whore like you leftists

Not a question of what you think is right, but rather the question of whether the Government should enforce what you think is right, and it is ironic given the demand is coming from those that pimp “freedom” any chance they can get

I have no intention of removing people's freedom to have sex. That's what you pea brained imbeciles can't figure out. This isn't about "freedom" no matter how much you try and shovel that shit.

Hello Martin,

With political peril for Republicans.

"In the year since, polling shows that what had been considered stable ground has begun to shift: For the first time, a majority of Americans say abortion is “morally acceptable.” A majority now believes abortion laws are too strict. They are significantly more likely to identify, in the language of polls, as “pro-choice” over “pro-life,” for the first time in two decades.

And more voters than ever say they will vote only for a candidate who shares their views on abortion, with a twist: While Republicans and those identifying as “pro-life” have historically been most likely to see abortion as a litmus test, now they are less motivated by it, while Democrats and those identifying as 'pro-choice' are far more so...."

Well it only makes sense that people should have a choice. People don't like things being decided for them by someone else, particularly when it can have such a huge effect on them and their future.

Like a baby conceived through no fault of its own, by the freely chosen actions of others and then gets killed. Got it. I love agreement

Sure it is, you want to deny women the right to have any say over their own bodies, and you want to employ the power of the Government to enforce your values, you are deny them their freedom and using the Government to do it

It is about responsibility and Democrats are responsibility adverse.

I don't mind answering that question if you answer the other. Also if it is such an OK thing why would you hesitate?

So you've had several abortions? I'm glad that you were free to do so. I haven't had any, but was grateful during those years that decent medical care was available if I had needed it.

I will never understand the women who openly support the GOP Handmaid's Tale Misogyny Laws.

I thought that submissive female masochists only really existed in fictional porn,
but I was clearly wrong.

you are a dipshit. We could fill the grand canyon with what you don't understand

I have not paid for any and haven't got any surprising father's day cards either. Now if it is such an OK thing why get offended by the question. I certainly am not offended by the question of how many I paid for. To me it is a matter of responsibility there are plenty of effective forms of contraception widely available.
