Great review of Washington Post's columnist's, Dana Milbank's, new book about Newt Gingrich in todays Post. Here is a three paragraph taste of it. Read it if you can. If it doesn't jar you, you are probably one of those brain-dead Trump supporters.

Reagan’s letter was dated Nov. 5, 1994. Three days later, Republicans won control of the House and the Senate, led by a pale rider named Newt Gingrich. And hell followed with him.

Milbank traces the descent of the party once led by Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bob Dole and John McCain as it became the party of Gingrich and Mitch McConnell and, ultimately, the cult of Donald Trump. For those once fond of the GOP, it’s like switching the channel from “Father Knows Best” to “The Sopranos.”

As an exercise, try thinking “Party of Lincoln” (or Reagan) as you recite aloud this partial list of post-1994 GOP leaders, grandees, enablers and influencers: Gingrich, Kenneth Starr, Roger Ailes, Rush Limbaugh, Ralph Reed, Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity, Lee Atwater, Andrew Breitbart, Ann Coulter, Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Karl Rove, Tucker Carlson, Rupert Murdoch, Jack Abramoff, Michael Flynn, Jim Jordan, Steve Bannon, Kevin McCarthy, Ted Cruz, Mark Meadows, John Eastman, Jeffrey Clark, Rudy Giuliani, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Madison Cawthorn, Josh Hawley, Lindsey Graham, Mo Brooks, Ron Johnson, Lauren Boebert, Elise Stefanik and the 147 members of Congress who on Jan. 6, 2021, voted not to certify Biden’s election, hours after the Capitol was attacked by an insurrectionary mob. Got an ashy taste in your mouth?

To paraphrase Reagan, I didn't leave the Republican Party. The Republican Party left me. Sad.

Yup.

And did you try to read that list out loud?

That is a list of supposed Americans. But, the are members of the GOP. How pathetic for that party.

It's a pretty varied list. There's politics, which is why I'd never be a politician. There's entertainers only seeking to make a buck and will say anything to do it, which is why I'd never be an entertainer. There's nutjobs and traitors; lock up and treat the former, give the latter a fair trial and a fair hanging.

You people should even be disgusted with yourselves.

The GOP Taliban has gone full criminal. No underhanded tactic is too sleazy for them. The way the cheated and packed the court with wing nuts is the best example of their lack of morality.

Then they demand everyone else play by the rules.

Fuck them.

To paraphrase Reagan, I didn't leave the Republican Party. The Republican Party left me. Sad.

That's not the only thing that left Reagan. His morality, his sense of fair play and his tollerance for gays and minorities sailed way before that.

Just ask the nuns murdered in cold blood by the Contras Reagan backed, or the people asking for funding to combat HIV aids, or the "welfare moms" he pulled out of his racist, senile ass.

Fuck Reagan. Hope he's enjoying hell.

They are the political scum of America.

But I would not fuck them even if I could use someone else's dick.

Impossible, when one important attribute is required:

Shame.

They are the political scum of America.

But I would not fuck them even if I could use someone else's dick.

Well, that's a given. I would hate-fuck the Bobert bimbo from CO. I'll bet you her husband would watch.. you know.. for pointers. For a fee, I'd even offer to show him where the clitoris is.

They're not "Americans" anymore. They're traitors.
