No Mask No Entry

I saw a guy raise a little hell with a manager at a Raceway Fuel Center yesterday.

There was a sign on all the entry doors that read, "Mask Required to Enter Store"!

But even though most employees were wearing their masks, one lady cashier was not however.

So this customer saw this at the checkout, ripped off his mask and asked to speak to the manager.

The manager stepped up and asked what was was wrong- and he wasn't even wearing the mask. The customer said, either take your sign down or comply with the rule yourselves- OR TAKE YOUR FUCKING SIGN DOWN.

The manager just stood there looking stupid!

The problem is that such signs remind deniers of what they are so desperately trying to ignore.

It doesn't matter what challenge our nation faces, our president seeks to make it confrontational and divisive.

Terrible leadership, which needs to be corrected in November.

You nailed the nail on the head. It is all about leadership!

And right now we have Donnie Julius Ceasar leading our country! That should be a concern for all Americans!

The truth is Americans are taking notes- and the polls are indicating it.

Donald Trump, as always, can't get out of his own way!

"No Mask No Entry"

A sign which should be placed on the entrance of the doors of the COVID Rally this weekend in Tulsa.

Florida was doing pretty good till they opened up the state to tourist. Now we are spiking again but mainly in the tourist destinations.

You are right wearing a mask and keeping ones distance is common courtesy. My bride had a Dr. appointment yesterday. We walked in and everyone was wearing a mask and sitting separated from others. after check in we took a seat far away from the others. There were two chairs back to back with ours. Well in walks this guy no mask he checks in and instead of taking a seat away from us there were plenty he sits down right behind us. I started to say something but decided to move instead. Just confirmed that there are ass holes everywhere. Especially in a doctors office where one expects to see sick people.

I have one this week as well. It's not a huge clinic so patients stay in their vehicle and they will come out and get you. I guess that might be a luxury of a smaller town.

Hello ThatOwlWoman,

I WISH everybody would wear a mask in the stores. I'm seeing more mask usage in the grocery stores and almost none in other stores these days. And it is getting increasingly difficult to maintain 6' distance with so many people totally blowing that off. I am challenged to find polite ways to remind them.

I don't say anything. Just make eye contact and pointedly move as far away from them as feasible. Thankfully most ppl here are polite in public and are complying with safety measures.

*sigh* Jerks are everywhere, aren't they?

What's your take on mail-in voting? We're already signed up. It's very unlikely that this virus will be gone by then; if anything, if schools are open again for in-person learning, that it will go up again.

I have been less subtle.

I need to work on a better way to handle that.

Something along the lines of:

"Gimme six feet, please?"

And then after passing safely by,

"Thank you and please wear a mask next time."

What I would really like to see is the sign on the door: "No Mask No Entry."

That really needs to be the standard everywhere.

What the heck part of freedom allows so much freedom that it needlessly endangers others?

That's not right.

It is dumb national policy.

Personally I prefer to vote in person and with 10 days of early voting there is rarely a crowd.

My view on all this is:

I've been in three wars, at least a half dozen serious civil disturbances--mostly in other countries and not as a participant--been to a lot of the worst the Third World has to offer in countries, eaten "monkey meat," "lizard-on-a-stick," and the infamous "mystery meat" from street vendors in those places and I'm still here. If I don't want to wear a mask, by God I am damn well not going to wear one.

I've been in three wars

You know, I was just thinking about this, and I know about a dozen triple war combat veterans from my generation (Gen X), and probably the same number of double war combat veterans among the Millennials. It is not uncommon for them to have done three years in Iraq, and two years in Afghanistan. The mortality numbers in these wars is not as bad as previous wars, but part of that is because of much better medical care. That brings with it more injuries, both because people who would have died are injured, but also that medical care picks up on injuries we would not have realized in the past.

Gen X and Millennial veterans deserve a lot of respect than they get.

Hello T. A. Gardner,

Thank you for your service. I sincerely appreciate it as an American. I've got a flag and I fly it proudly. Because of people like you, my freedom is protected and I cherish it, so I thank you very much. Good job.

So it's a bit surprising to hear that after all you have risked and been through to protect and look out for your fellow Americans that you would refuse to do this simple thing to look out for and protect your fellow Americans. Wearing a mask is more about protecting others than protecting yourself. The masks trap the particles that transmit the disease. None of us really knows if we are contagious or not. Mask wearing has been proven to be efficacious in reducing the transmission of COVID-19.

Compared to what you've seen in those wars, the COVID war is an easy one to fight. No weapons, nobody shooting at you, just three W's.

1. Wear a mask.

2. Wash your hands.

3. Watch your distance.

Oh, and all humans are on the same side in this war. It's us against the bug.

-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo plans to sign an executive order allowing businesses to refuse service to people who won't wear masks.

-There's clear evidence that face coverings can help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

-However, their requirement has become a point of political and cultural divide reaching as high as the White House.

New York governor Andrew Cuomo will sign an executive order allowing businesses to refuse service to people not wearing a mask, he said Thursday, as face coverings become a political sparring point amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"No mask - No entry," he said on Twitter during his daily press briefing in New York City.

We're giving store owners the right to say 'if you're not wearing a mask, you can't come in," Cuomo said. "That store owner has a right to protect themselves; that store owner has a right to protect other patrons in that store. You don't want to wear a mask? Fine, but you don't have the right to go into that store if the store owner doesn't want you to.

The move follows similar orders by local officials in various cities and states and could protect businesses — many of which have already been requiring masks for some time — from discrimination lawsuits. In Minneapolis, for example, not wearing a mask could land someone a $1000 fine. New York previously began to require masks in public spaces when social distancing is not possible and on public transportation."

'No mask — no entry': New York Gov. Cuomo says he'll sign an executive order allowing businesses to refuse service to people who won't wear masks

It has been done in hot spots and in places which are taking an aggressive approach to fight the coronavirus. I believe it is time to do this nationwide. It is actually long past time. This should have been done from the beginning.

The countries which are having success at fighting the virus are taking it seriously.

And after all. How can you expect to win a war if you don't even fight it?

Wearing a mask is how you do that.

We need better leadership. We need a leader who will set the proper example.

The coronavirus will still be with us in November. We are going to have to change our leadership so we can get the proper leadership to set the proper example so that we can turn this thing around. Allowing the pandemic to get out of control is irresponsible. We will have a chance to fix that in November.

Voting to change our leadership in November is the best thing we can do for our nation to fight the pandemic.

do it. smart people won't go to those particular institutions of dumbassery.

All true but we just don't know who is a carrier and who is not. So if that's your plan just stick with #1.

Which is essentially the same as #3 of the 3 W's.
