No reason to celebrate.

Same thing. Wealth inequality is BECAUSE of decline of middle class. Same cause.

The decline of the middle class has to do with a decline in economic mobility. That comes from making it harder to start small businesses. It also comes from making it harder to maintain small businesses. The excessive lockdowns are just the tip of the iceberg regarding that.

That is because of the pandemic. The problem existed before it.

What form of government & traditions would you recommend??

Singapore has the best system. They technically have a democracy, but it really is more of a technocracy. Now, I don't necessarily think this would work here. Culturally, we're too dysfunctional for that. I think the only thing that might fix this country is a revolution, but I'd rather not stick around to experience that. It may or may not happen, but even if it doesn't, we'll likely decline into a version of Brazil's level of corruption. Neither possibility is desirable to experience, hence why I'm looking into moving.

Yes it did. However, the lockdowns accelerated the decline. They were pointless, since all we actually had to do was socially distance, wear masks, and implement higher cleaning standards.

Anyway, what happened much earlier is the systematic process of local governments making it harder and harder to start or run small businesses because of worse and worse regulation and fees.

It won't be long before nearly everyone is employed by major corporations, which will make us particularly vulnerable to corporatist agendas.

False. A GOP talking point with no evidence.

:nodyes: What is best is what fits.........

Is this a bad time for a revolution??

Not that there is ever a good time.....lol

China is @ the door step, if not already let in...........

Going from a president whom I viscerally hate to one that I genuinely dislike is a definite improvement--

but hardly a reason to celebrate.

Biden is talking Pollyanna nonsense about "unity" instead of pledging to do all that he can to help the left win.

In other words, he'll be pretty much useless from my perspective.

Honest people on both sides know that unity is not only impossible but also not particularly wanted by ideological purists of either persuasion.

Sincere people know what they want, and America is two very different groups of people who want entirely different and also incompatible things.

Whenever you hear a politician say "America wants...[whatever]," expect to hear a load of verbal diarrhea. America has consensus on NOTHING.
Good grief, a bunch of Debbie Downers.

There are people are are excited for this victory. There are people who after 4 years of Trump’s Tweet are celebrating. Let people have their joy. You can start talking doom and gloom and that people aren’t really behind Biden and the Republicans will resist everything, come January 21, but I myself, am going to bask in the joy of not having to be subjected to Trump’s idiocy on a large scale, anymore.

So false that there has been an exodus of working class people from states like California and New York for multiple decades.

Nothing you say is substantiated by the facts. Just admit that you lost the election and move on. You're welcome in Biden's America.

Dude, plenty of liberal sources like the New York Times have pointed out what I just mentioned. If you want to say that the NYT doesn't share facts, I can agree with you part of the time, but not on this.
