Has this thread devolved into idle chat because I have failed to comment?
Well, please allow me to bring the thread back to the OP and weigh in.
Credit where credit is due. Obama certainly did not come up with the plan to get Osama, the strategic plan itself, actually came from an Israeli General and was shared with our special ops back during the Reagan administration. SEALS have been routinely practicing the maneuvers for years. All of the training for the operation, was funded with money Obama and democrats objected to spending and sought to cut from the budget, and are still moaning about needing to be cut from the budget.
Now, like I said, credit where credit is due, Obama did have a few options available, and he chose the one he chose, which did have some pretty huge down-sides. It did take him roughly 16 hrs. to figure out which option, but like I said, credit where credit is due, he made the call. I think he deserves credit for at least making A call. One of his options was to do nothing and wait until it is too late... (that's what he does everywhere else, it seems) so he could have done that here and he didn't, he deserves credit for that.
