Obama Motors restores 3000 jobs

GW was blamed for the economic downturn he inherited by Dems (I am not apologizing for Bush, he was a horrible President). I don't recall any partisan Dems saying, let's wait and see what impact his policies will have.

This is why I have gotten tired of politics. Retards on the left and right seem to have short memories. I can forgive the young partisan fools. But if you are over 30 and have not figured it out yet then you are a waste of time. Almost all are only about what money they can make and who is going to pay for their next campaign. They don't care about you or any ideas.

Wake up!!! - Spike Lee (School Daze, wasn't it?)

Who the hell blamed Bush for the recession that happened right after the Clinton term? Everyone who wasn't fucking retarded knew where that came from, and it wasn't Clinton's mismanagement of the economy.

Hopefully good news.

Buy American, support your nation and yourself.

Sorry, I'm not Japanese, I buy American.

When the Japanese sell American cars, I'll buy theirs.

Our children, our grandchildren, ourselves require we support each other, buy American.

Didn't know you were Korean!

When the Japanese support me and my kids, I'll support them, until then I'll buy American.

I'm out of the job myself. I'm presently trying to start my own business after the nearly complete collapse of my industry. I just know who to blame it on. It isn't Obama.
There's no one person that could destroy the economy of the entire planet. No matter how much people may want to think it works that way.

True and the President of the US has little control over the economic monetary policy of the US. It is not his/her job. The problems begin when they start meddling in it.

True but a culture of shortsighted greed can and nearly did.
Those who embraced that culture brought us down.
But then maybe it is not over yet?

Nobody but the brainwashed libertarians would argue that deficit spending during a recession is the wrong thing to do.
moron. deficit spending does one thing. It relieves the symptom but leaves the disease. All this deficit spending is doing is short term relief. It will not and never can fix the debt based economy. Until that happens, we will play this game every other term.

I suppose we should have just balanced the budget and let the banks crash?
it would hurt, but we'd finally cure the disease.

No, Economics 101 told me that, along with logical thought.

Why? Did your arts teacher tell you differently?

You're so retarded, I don't know why I haven't put you on ignore yet.

You sound just like the retards who say "people can't change the climate of the ENTIRE PLANT! Logical thought tells you that much!"

Seriously, you are retarded. Bush wouldnt' have had to go and destroy every economy in the world. All you have to do in the modern world economy is cripple the most important economy in the world (the US) to have an adverse effect on the rest of the world.

Logical thought tells you that!!

It is because you know that first, I am not even close to "retarded", secondly, Bush cannot destroy the economies of other nations without their direct and willing complicity in the activity that supposedly destroyed ours. (It is only the face of the iceberg, but we will hear every lefty and uber-righty trying to blame only that face on the "other" side without really digging its depths).

Logical thought tells me that even Bush couldn't "destroy" the economy of the US singlehandedly, even with a willful attempt at it. First he needs the votes of many Senators and congresspeople to get it done, then the will to do it and the total ignorance of the population.

You seem to be incapable of living in reality, and believe that the President is somehow capable of Kinglike powers that the office has never been granted.

Logical thought tells me that you are incapable of seeing past partisan blinders to seek even a portion of the root of a problem if you can find a scapegoat in the branches.

You're right, Bush did it with the complicity of his Republican majorities in the house and senate - brought to you by the ignorance of the American people.

Ahhhhh Bush.....a freekin' diabolical genius when the left needs him to be....controlling and affecting the the entire worlds economy......who would have thunk it...(besides the pinheads):lmao:

You don't have to be a genius to fuck up as president. Bush proved it. He also proved that your right-wing economic ideology will never be taken seriously again.

Again, if such was the case then there never would be recessions in any other time or place than in the time of Bush's terms, we look back in history and find the bubble/burst cycles to show us the falsity of these assertions...

The Bubble/Burst economy has been a standard for a long time in the US, peering back in time we see it repeatedly. Now Bush increased the lending bubble right after the 9/11 attacks on the infrastructures of our economic machine to push off a recession that would have crippled us at that time and had some success in staving it off for a short-term period. Of course, like every bubble of the past it burst, just as the .com bubble burst, and on and on throughout the past.

If we ever want to be quit of the Bubble/Burst nightmare we need to stop repeating the past and rebuilding the bubbles at each time. If we do not, then we must accept the continued cycles and the possibility of multi-bubble bursts, like happened at the end of Bush's terms.

Now, that you have found your scapegoat in the branches though, you are finished and nothing further will ever dent that "mind" of yours.

Are you trying to be a hack? Cause that's what it looks like.

The other "recession" that approached this scale came from another Republican majority and Republican president in the late 20s. Failure to regulate leads to this kind of disaster.

Little bubbles burst all the time, but they don't threaten to fucking destroy the entire banking industry. This was something completely in a different category from the tech bubble burst, for instance.

And again, simple hackery. There's the scapegoat in the tree, no deeper understanding or learning necessary for you. You have become the example of exactly what I was talking about. As long as both sides simply look for the scapegoat, this is as far as we'll ever get.

The fact of the matter is you libertarians will never, ever be convinced that your ideology could be responsible. So any assigning of blame that threatens your faith in it is to be marginalized as "scapegoating."
