I guess that butthurt that others are covered by life-saving insurance is too much to bear. Hopefully this tidbit will soothe you: My husband and I are paying out-of-pocket for COBRA insurance; he retired last year. Our premiums are over $1000/month for something we've used twice (for routine checkups, one each) in the last year. So there you go -- our premiums are subsidizing a few others who aren't as fortunate as we are. And that's okay with us.
That's how it works, whether we taxpayers are chipping in for something that benefits all of us (fire and police protection, public schools, etc.) or your fellow co-workers are all chipping in via your paychecks so that everyone at your company has affordable coverage. You *do* have coverage, right? If you do, you can thank all your co-workers for helping you out.
yes and insurance companies do the exact same thing they moan about
cost spreading
that is the whole idea of insurance
taxes cost spread too
yet when the government does it its evil to these people because they have been brainwashed to think so.
But when a Corporation does it to make money its a great idea to them
the stupid is deep in the right wing ranks
