That was, I need coffeeI know. Who was using sarcasm to address katzgar, who used quotation marks to quote CFM, as opposed to the quote button.
Whew...that was exhausting.

I guess that butthurt that others are covered by life-saving insurance is too much to bear. Hopefully this tidbit will soothe you: My husband and I are paying out-of-pocket for COBRA insurance; he retired last year. Our premiums are over $1000/month for something we've used twice (for routine checkups, one each) in the last year. So there you go -- our premiums are subsidizing a few others who aren't as fortunate as we are. And that's okay with us.
That's how it works, whether we taxpayers are chipping in for something that benefits all of us (fire and police protection, public schools, etc.) or your fellow co-workers are all chipping in via your paychecks so that everyone at your company has affordable coverage. You *do* have coverage, right? If you do, you can thank all your co-workers for helping you out.
I believe it goes all the way back to CFM, who I have on ignore. katzgar didn't use the quote feature, so it got a little hard to follow
Thanks, I also thought he was addressing you.I think Floridafan meant to address CFM but it looked like he was talking to me instead.
Apparently the butthurt is coming from those that won't do for themselves. Until you provide the entire coverage for someone that claims they can't afford it, patting yourself on the back like a good little bleeding heart means nothing. If you care, why don't you pay the entire bill for those that say they can't afford coverage? In typical fashion, you use the "less fortunate" bullshit argument. I don't buy into the "I'm glad to do it for them so you should to" nonsense.
That last statement proves you do not understand insurance.
As for you paying $1000/month, quit your fucking whining. Your husband CHOSE to retire so the results of doing so are on you and taking credit as if it means something is invalid.
However you twist it, it's not the taxpayers' responsibility to fund something for someone unwilling to provide it to him/herself. It doesn't become the mandated responsibility of taxpayers to provide for someone else's kids either when the kid's own parents refuse to do it. Same with food, clothing, shelter or anything else the leeches believe someone else should be forced to provide them.
Well, I was going to reply to this as though you were an actual rational adult, but as it went on and on and the ranting grew increasingly shrill, I decided that is no point in wasting electrons to try to educate the stupid and willfully ignorant. Suffice it to say that I understand insurance quite well. I am a health care professional who worked the last three years before retirement for -- wait for it -- a large health insurance company. You may have heard of it. It's called Aetna. My husband worked his entire IT career in the health insurance industry. You probably also heard of CIGNA?
That's the problem with these kinds of discussion venues on the Internet. Intelligent people make the mistake of assuming that everyone else is intelligent. Stupid people assume, like you do, that everyone else is equally stupid.
I hope if your house catches fire next week that you won't hesitate to call the local fire department -- that other people paid for.
OK...now I'm really confusedThanks, I also thought he was addressing you.
Do you have him on ignore, as I do? If so, and someone quotes the idiot, I sometimes copy the text from the quoted box, paste it in my reply, and then manually wrap it with quote tags adding the posters name by adding =CFM,etc.. It shows up as a quoted post. I had no problem recognizing your quotation, but only because someone already quoted the original post, allowing me to read it.Using the quote button was not an available option for me
Who has an attitude?People that don't know what's going on and cop an attitude are generally on a power Trip
More often than not, they're either kids who play tough guys on the internet, or they get insurance from an employer. As such, they don't know what health insurance actually costs, so they blather on about things they know nothing about.Well, I was going to reply to this as though you were an actual rational adult, but as it went on and on and the ranting grew increasingly shrill, I decided that is no point in wasting electrons to try to educate the stupid and willfully ignorant. Hah! Is that you riding off into the sunset?
