Israel is a grown up nation now. They have the most advanced military in the region, they are basically undefeated in wars between themselves and all their neighbors. They don't need us to protect them. Not only that, they CHOSE to live in a place where they KNEW the native population would be hostile to them. In the law, we call that moving to the nuisance. Ashkenazi (sp) Jews had no link to Israel between 70 A.D. and 1948. Yet they decided to move to a land where they KNEW they would be hated. When you chose to live someplace like that, you better be able to defend yourself.

So the next time some of those neighbors decide to band together and attempt another attack, you have no problem if Israel turns those countries into large chunks of glass?
