Leave it to Zappa to assume something like the religion of the sign-maker based on proximity to whatever group he doesn't like rather than actual information.

He probably wanted to say that it shows how much the Obama Administration doesn't care about the homeless; but just couldn't bring himself to type the words.

Love those rabid righty haters. The sign was created on behalf of an anonymous coward and it cost $150 to create, $150 that could have been used for food and supplies. And you want libs to trust people this stupid?

The sign's now been replaced.

"Swann designed the "Welcome to Obamaville: Colorado's Fastest Growing Community" sign on behalf of someone else, whose identity he wouldn't reveal. Swann also designed a new sign Thursday that replaced "Obamaville". The new sign reads: "Please help, we need firewood, propane and canned food."

"I thought it was just something to draw attention and help those folks," said Swann.

On krdo.com, Mary wrote, "The person that had the sign made could have donated to the homeless shelter instead."

Harley agreed, writing, "…you should have taken this money for the sign and given it to them."

Swann says the "Obamaville" sign cost around $150. He didn't charge the unknown creator for either sign. Swann also tells NEWSCHANNEL 13, the person who put up the sign makes donations of his own to the homeless."

lol, the white knight for the Messiah rides in once again to save his name and what little reputation he has left.....:cof1:

Meme, Damo & ID - take a stand here: do you think it deserves to be called "Obamaville"?

Explain your answer.

You do realize that it's under Obama's watch, kind of like all the things that were layed at the feet of Bush.

You won
Get used to it and get over it.

I would have been embarassed in 2001 trying to make an argument that any of Bush's policies could be responsible for the economy of that year.

The conservatives who think "Obamaville" is appropriate either have no sense of shame, or no economic knowledge whatosever. They're the same ones who were calling this the "Obama Recession" in the beginning of the year (and some, led by Rush, were even calling it that prior to inauguration).

It's a whole new level of stupidity. I guess congrats are in order...

BULL SHIT
You and the rest of the "anti-right" would have referred to it and kept it in the forefront at every opportunity,

YEP, they could have spend it on dope instead, seeing as how it's OK when the poor spend their money that way; but BOY-HOWDY, they better not make a political statement.

I beg your pardon. That would be "the lady for the Messiah" to you.

Aw, poor dum es, I mean ass, with a mug that looks like 20 miles of bad road that was baked in the sun for years.

Get a life, trollop. <grin>

When does Obama take responsibility for it, or having unemployment go past his promised ceiling of 8%?

It hardly matters when Obama himself "takes responsibility" for it. Anyone with even a speck of economic knowledge understands that it's fairly idiotic to say his policies have affected homelssness at this point...

LOL Yeah all those folks without jobs has nothing to do with homelessness. :palm:

There's one thing we know from every speech and every action of this administration, the buck doesn't stop anywhere near Obama. He has yet to make a speech that I have watched on any subject anywhere that doesn't mention that he "inherited" a problem.
