Ohio Senate passes measure forcing hospitals to administer ivermectin, other patient-requested treatments

Ivermectin has been around for decades and has FAR less side effects
It depends on the dosages you take it in. Obviously, a lot of the nut jobs who think it is a cure all will also take hundreds of times the regular dosage, and will do serious harm to their health.

Beyond that, it is a bad idea to take unnecessary drugs. Ivermectin is very good at treating worms, but worms are not a major problem in America.

Yes, it's a medication for parasites but is effective in preventing the spike proteins from attaching and is also being tested as effective on certain cancers.
Why would it only work in countries with high worm infestation? No one denies that Ivermectin does well in Nigeria in helping against Covid, but it does not work in the UK. It is almost like it kills the worms that cause trouble in patients that have Covid.

This has been studied to death. If you do not have worms, Ivermectin will do nothing good for you.

There is no reason why it would be effective. Shovels work to relocate DEAD RACCOONS. Dead raccoons are not dirt. Most reasonably intelligent ppl are aware that manure forks also do not work to relocate dirt, only manure. So why anyone would think that a tool used for relocating dead raccoons would be effective at relocating dirt is beyond me.
My God, GFM is a complete idiot.

When looking for a medication, you look for something that kills the disease, but does not kill the patient. That becomes a problem with viruses because the disease uses the patient's own cells to "live." Anything that kills those cells, kills those cells.

Ivermectin binds with glutamate-gated chloride channels which are essential to many invertebrate, and thereby kills them. Mammals, and viruses that infect mammals, do not use glutamate-gated chloride channels, so are mostly unharmed. This makes it very good for deworming mammals, and totally ineffective in "de-virusing" mammals.

I don't see the problem with patients rights....which is what the measure is about. And it isn't even law yet, is it?

No one is "forcing" any hospitals to administer drugs that are unapproved or non-prescribed, are they?

Looks like another hysterical hyped-up headline from a Bluesky drama queen to me.

Why does a FAGAT care what other people's doctors put into their bodies?

Lefties sure like to make up scary-sounding shit, don't they?

Well there are good nurses and Naked Hunter Biden nurses...,,
And that brings me to another question: why was the alt right attacking nurses during the pandemic?

Even if the whole pandemic was a conspiracy, the nurses are too low on the pecking order to be behind the conspiracy. I mean at least attack doctors.

It is relatively safe to use for its intended purpose, which is to say it is safer to use it than to continue to be infected by worms.

If you are not infected by worms, and just want to randomly take this prescription drug, that would be a mistake.

Why do you care what other medications people choose to take, Salty? Is that an alt-left thing? Is the alt-left attacking patients?

Look at the title of the thread, "Ohio Senate passes measure forcing hospitals to administer ivermectin."

If I write a headline stating that someone passed a measure forcing the alt-left to rape their own mothers, would you take that as factual, Salty?

From the FAGAT's own source:

"Under the bill, a prescriber can write a prescription for off-label use of a drug as long as they have the patient’s permission, anyone holding a patient’s power of attorney or in the case of minors, their parent’s or guardian’s permission.

Hospitals, in-patient facilities and the pharmacists working within them are also required to dispense drugs for off-label use during public health emergencies as part of the bill. "

Not scary enough, I suppose, if you want to make this issue pollical.

No, that would be ThatOwlCoward. My post mocking her exposes her faulty logic on the matter.

You seem to be forgetting that people have immune systems, and that ivermectin has numerous uses beyond being an "animal dewormer".
