Once again, the american people get screwed.....corporations win again.

Criticizing what little you know about the Democratic proposal proves my point. Again, you might want to read before postulating.

Let me explain this in simple terms:

Republicans: We want to give all Americans sandwiches.

Democrats: We also want to give all Americans sandwiches.

Republicans: We will give corporations ham sandwiches and we will give the American worker poop sandwiches.

Democrats: Now wait a minute! We can't support this.

Republicans: The Democrats don't want to give Americans sandwiches now? Why are they playing politics in this time of need?

Democrats: We need to discuss this legislation further. First, we'll start with the topic of poop sandwiches--

Republicans: Time is short! We need to pass this legislation now! Why do you want Americans to starve just so you can play politics?! Stop hating America!

As a former legislative person, there is a lot of truth in what you post. My hardest battles working for the Middle Class were always with the Republicans. Not all, but most.

It's what we used to call the four G's.
God, Guns, Gays and Government. Republicans are masters at getting "White "votes" on these issues. All the while preferring corporate greed over the working class.

Horribly true. "Bullets, Bibles, and Brown People" also fits, eh?

I bet you that most of them believe that multibillion-dollar corporations "deserve" bailouts so that they can help America. And the Easter Bunny is real, too.

So you're going to ignore an argument simply because it is longer than a sentence or two? You wanted to know what businesses are doing with the money. I gave you a small sampling of what they're doing with it.

You obviously have no knowledge about the day to day operations of a business, nor all of the work and expenses involved in forming and running a business.

You neglected to add that corporate America will pay their execs big bonuses, increase their dividends, and buy back their stock in the open market. Then and only then will they complain that they need more of a bailout.

I'll bite. What did you do, or what legislation did you push for, that you felt served the middle class (but not the rich or the poor)?

This bill isn't for the american people it's for business.

1,200 for individuals for MOST AMERICANS meaning some will be left out.
500 billion for corporations
350 Billion for small business

why does walmart need aid.....they don't even pay their workers paid sick time.

This bill is not even close to passage. We now have 3 republican Senators, all millionaires, who feel that the unemployment compensation part of the bill gives too much to workers. They want to change the wording. Think of the optics where a group of millionaires want to keep workers from getting few hundred bucks extra.

There is beauty in truth. Well said.

...corrected version of your post posted below...

Let me explain this in simple terms:

Republicans: We want to give all Americans sandwiches.

Democrats: We will only give all Americans sandwiches if we can also give ourselves and our worshipers steak dinners.

Republicans: Hold up. It's not at all good to take advantage of a crisis to give yourselves steak dinners. Let's just focus on the sandwiches.

Democrats: Nope. We get steak dinners or else Americans get no sandwiches.

Republicans: The Democrats will only give Americans sandwiches if they get steak dinners for themselves. Why are they playing politics in this time of need?

Democrats: No sandwiches for Americans until we get our steak dinners!

Republicans: Time is short! We need to ignore the steak dinners for a second and get Americans their sandwiches now! Why do you want Americans to starve just so you can play politics?! Stop hating America!

Now THAT'S a bit more true to what's currently going on...

Protecting Defined Benefit Pension Plans. Before that, I did Nuclear Non Proliferation and Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Duty issues mainly against Russia and other European countries.
