If the compensation provides more income from not working than would otherwise be earned, that is a problem on multiple levels. For me, I dont qualify for any benefits, so I will be reading to see who gets what.
If Corporations prosper via stock buybacks and executive bonuses, there will be a backlash.

that's a problem for most of white america.
its THE main problem. they believe most Blacks collect some type of benefits from the government and they hate giving Blacks anything.


if you get 500 a month on unemployment.......you wont see a dime of the aid.. Even though 500 isn't enough to sustain a household in the first place. You're aid IS the unemployment.

they rather give the money to business.

They were not relics when I worked on them. They were the norm. When I left, Defined Contribution Plans were starting to take precident. The last bill I wrote passed in 09, but has since expired. I also worked on a Supreme Court case. We won a 9-0 judgement against the Europeans. Google "Eurodiff case" if you want particulars.

I am not disagreeing, but I would have to see side by side comparisons to know particulars from each proposal. To be honest, even thinking about working in DC brings back bad memories. Its life consuming at times.
The last bill that I worked on was about 1400 pages long. It was what folks today call a CR. It was in fact a humongous Consolidated Omnibus Spending Bill. Try reading 1400 pages without your eyes bleeding and your brain simply giving out.

In a prior life I worked for a real estate investment management firm and our biggest clients were CalPers, Calsters and the Alaska Permanent Fund. So I had a little exposure to them from a distance.

You mentioned Republicans were big hypocrites regarding defined benefit plans. What was their hypocrisy?

I personally think we should take the Danish, liberal, Kenyan-Marxist approach and have the government pay 75 percent of salaries until the crisis is over.

But I am willing to listen to legitimate cases from business who need help due to disruptions in supply and distribution networks and interruptions international trade

and I'm not talking about those making over 100K although they pay taxes too. Just because they make a little more doesn't mean they dont' deserve help. We spend more....have higher bills. If you made over 100K and lose your job.....unemployment give you 1,800 a month......that doesn't fit. We deserve help too.

100K is not a lot of money in today's society.

those who don't have an income needs the money the most. but that's who racist white men want to leave out.

business that is still open can pay employees. lots of corporations are still open i.e. mcdonalds, walmart etc.

they should get no help.

small business may need to be evaluated on a case by case basis......

500 billion could help a lot of americans if the money was going to the people. They would spend the money at small and larges business.

Why have a business if no one has money to buy your product?
