Once again, Trump is being handed a good and growing economy on a silver platter

the old saying goes that you can boil a frog by slowly raising the water temp - and it won't notice. not sure this is true, but I see similar things in my daily life

It was always a struggle for man to survive, but thanks to human capital, we eventually could spend less time surviving and more time enjoying life. You wouldn't need to spend weeks prepping for winter. Even looking at something as simple as a cob of corn or a banana compared to centuries ago shows how much we have thrived and prospered.

Because of human innovation - this was axiomatic. things got cheaper. whatever it cost to survive today - in both money and man hours - it would take drastically less in the future. The general trendline was for the cost of goods and services to depreciate - all because of human capital

We have been boiled like those frogs

in 1965 we spent about $400 per person to fund the government.

In 2023 - we spent $19,500

That is bullshit. The idiot left want us to fight amongst ourselves because the rich don't "pay their fair share". JFC. is spending $19,500 per person a fair way to operate?

ooooh - but inflation you say. Well - that is bullshit too. Mankind's innovation has been stolen, and you all have been lied to and now accept as default that things get more expensive. In any economy of scale - we should not need to spend more per person for vital needs- we should spend less - and over time that amount should continue to decrease

you idiots claim the economy is good are telling us to stay in the water longer, and all will be fine I would call you out as a liar, but sadly you aren't lying, you are just the dumbest of the frogs, because I have a suspicion they figured it out before you would

Babbling nonsense

Where do you get your dollar figures?

Are they adjusted for inflation?

How are you being harmed vs how much your life has been made better by whatever it is you're crapping your panties about?

Upon what economic principal do you base your claim that spending per person for vital needs- we should be less - and over time that amount should continue to decrease?

You sound like a typical ranting trumper looney who spews shit he knows nothing about.

human innovation says things get cheaper. the inflation figures do not account for how things should get cheaper - it assumed inflation based on things staying the same - so as I explained - our innovation has been stolen and hidden as they lie about inflation figures

but since you are a fucking baby - adjusted for inflation we went from spending $4000, to $20,000 per person - which is insane

economy of scale + human capital

a family of 4 spends more per person than a family of 8

a family of 4 in 1900 had to spend more labor hours on survival than a family of 4 does in 2024

even a moron like you should understand these basic concepts of scale and human capital

in 1965 the US Government spent about $400 per person to fund itself. Fed minimum wage was $1.25 per hour - so basically we were being taxed at the tune of about 320 minimum wage labor hours per person per year

in 2023 the US government spent just under $20,000 per person. Fed minimum wage is $7.25 - so we are being taxed at about 2,758 minimum wage labor hours per person per year.

but hey - the economy is swell

Translation: "I haven't the slightest clue as to what I'm babbling about and cannot find, nor have I attempted to find anything of official data or expert opinion, to back up my claims about how government services should steadily get cheaper and cheaper, so I'll just repeat them over and over whenever I'm challenged, hurl a few insults then walk away thinking I won because that's the way MAGA morons roll."

Innovations and increases in productivity reduce production costs - this is axiomatic

You're basing your assumption on the "buying in bulk = less $ per oz/lb/item" theory of retail sales and assuming that it automatically translates into providing for a family, etc. But you cannot make such a broad, generalized assumption because everyone has different shopping and spending habits.

even a moron like you should understand these basic concepts

IOW, wages have increased drastically in proportion to costs.
So then WTF are you bitching about???

Apparently you're such a moron that you cannot.

derp derp. National defense is not buying groceries. As our population grows, we should be spending less per person on it.

You want to hide what is so obvious - the Nixon shock removed the check and balance that prevented politicians from spending money they did not have. This alone is why we see massive inflation, and massive spending per person. This is why our economy is far from swell and is on the brink

this is why you idiots have no real solutions for the economy. If we go into a recession - which is a natural part of the cycle - you panic because our debt demands we don't recede. that is far from a healthy economy but your cognitive dissonance prevents you from accepting the truth

I doubt you even understand the meaning of the term, idiot.

Labor is a production cost, idiot.

Labor costs have increased, idiot.

People now earn more for their labor so they don't have to work as many hours, idiot.

How does any of that relate to the "danged ol'gub'mint" as your initial post on the subject seemed to imply?

Idiot.

fiat currency is why idiot. a ditch digger in a third world country does not see the same pay inflation you fucking idiot

you idiots think it takes more labor expense to dig a dich in 2023 compared to 1900. JFC you are fucking dumb. innovation should make this a fraction of the cost idiot. you are too stupid to understand the point idiot

National defense involves human labor.

Human labor costs money.

That cost is factored into EVERYTHING.

Amazing that you cannot figure that out or understand it.

All you've got is gibberish.

I could have a more coherent argument with my neighbor's dog.

humans need to labor less thanks to innovation idiot
Yet they make exponentially more per hour doing it.

Which in turn, raises the price of everything that is produced and sold.

Has nothing to do with "dang ol'Biden" or the "dang ol'gub'mint".

Go find something worthwhile to chew your spleen over.
