Sidebar: I think Machiavelli gets a little bit of a bad rap. Yes, his counsel was cynical. But his goal was to have Italian leaders ruthless enough to drive out the French invaders, unite Italy, and lay the groundwork for a restoration of Italian republicanism.

Oh yes. There were numerous threads devoted to the topic. One featured the innocent elderly victim viciously claiming that there's no way I got an academic scholarship (even when I posted a pic of the letter from the university) and making the usual racist comments about Native Americans, "will she have to wear moccasins now?", and so on. The OP, who is now a good friend, had the thread deleted. But we have screenshots, oh yes, we do. ;)

Jealousy of others is a sign of low self-esteem. https://openpsychometrics.org/

The Rosenberg Self-Esteem test...which she and her friends probably won't take because Rosenberg is Jewish. https://openpsychometrics.org/tests/RSE.php
Validity
This scale is the most widely used measure of self esteem for research purposes but it is NOT a diagnostic aid for any for any psychological issues of states. If you are worried that your self esteem may reflect poor mental health please consult your doctor. The scale has been used in more than one hundred research projects.
This test doesn't reflect gender in the results. American women, especially younger Euro-American women, often score much lower.

Your score is 29/30. Scores below 15 indicate low self esteem.
Below is a graph of how others score on this test.

People worldwide tend to gain self-esteem as they grow older, and men generally have higher levels of self-esteem than women, but this self-esteem gender gap is more pronounced in Western industrialized countries, according to research published by the American Psychological Associationhttps://www.apa.org/pubs/journals/releases/psp-pspp0000078.pdf

I got this. No clue what it means.

I wonder if we would have scored lower when we were much younger.

Yes. Normal people change over time. In short, we grow psychologically. Nutjobs not so much. Untreated they even get worse.

Anyone who is proud about "being the same" over 10-20 years is not a healthy adult. :)

It means you'd be a good neighbor and I'd trust my grandkids with you.

If I agree with you does that mean I'm a psychopathic narcissist? My fan club wants to know.

The quizzes are fun. Also did the five personality traits one. Turns out I'm quite boring after all. And messy and disorganized. How do they know these things? lol

No. It means you are an intelligent, mentally-stable adult. :)

Boring, in this context, is good since it means stable. It's one thing to be the "life of the party" wearing a lampshade or going topless at on a Friday night in one's Twenties. It's another for someone over 40 to behave in such a manner.

You're doing great!

From DEC 2020:
More than 1 in 3 Americans believe a ‘deep state’ is working to undermine Trump
According to a recent NPR/Ipsos poll, a strong majority of Americans are concerned about the spread of false information and specifically that information they receive on social media is not accurate. However, there are also signs that recent misinformation, including false claims related to COVID-19 and QAnon, are gaining a foothold among some Americans.

Detailed Findings

The American public is deeply concerned about the spread of false information and are particularly concerned about COVID-19-related misinformation.

  • More than eight in ten (83%) say they are concerned about the spread of false information, and a majority (54%) report being very concerned.
  • Eighty percent are specifically concerned about the spread of false information about the coronavirus and vaccines.
  • More than two-thirds are concerned both that the information they receive on social media is not accurate (69%), and also about foreign interference in social media (67%).

My fan club is going to be dreadfully disappointed. lol

The big red block on the bottom was scary.

I can vouch for your character.

Is easy for the simple-minded and the cynical to consistently invent caricatures of random online posters they harbor personal grievances towards.

I leave it to the mental health professionals to sort out!

Yep, they get paid to do that thankless task. lol

ROFL. They could certainly have thought of a better means of presentation or color than a big red line on Psychopathy. I did a double take myself because the visual didn't match the personality I knew.

The Psychopathy mean is 2.09 with a standard deviation of 0.63 meaning anything larger than 2.72 or less than 1.46 would be outside the first grouping of results.

You're 0.9, Christie and Cypress are both 0.2 above you at 1.1. I'm the highest of the four at 1.9, albeit below the mean. A simple definition would be a measure of social morality with lower being better. The first link below gives a more detailed explanation.

From a pdf: https://www.researchgate.net/public...D3_A_Brief_Measure_of_Dark_Personality_Traits
Psychopathy. Seminal researchers (Cleckley, 1941/1976;
Hare, 1970; Lykken, 1995) have pointed to two key elements of psychopathy—deficits in affect (i.e., callousness)
and self-control (i.e., impulsivity). The self-control deficit
has remained central to criminal (Hare & Neumann, 2008;
Hicks et al., 2007) as well as noncriminal conceptions of
psychopathy (Hall & Benning, 2006; Lebreton, Binning, &
Adorno, 2006). Consequently, psychopaths manifest their
callousness in a short-term fashion (Jones & Paulhus,
2011a; Visser, Bay, Cook, & Myburgh, 2012). For example,
they lie for immediate rewards, even if those lies compromise their long-term interests1
(Paulhus & Jones, 2012).
Thus callous manipulation combines with other short-term
traits (i.e., recklessness, and thrill seeking) to engender bold
and relentless criminal behavior (Hare & Neumann, 2008).
The element of impulsivity is key in distinguishing psychopathy from Machiavellianism and influenced our item
selection for the SD3. Our emphasis on impulsivity renders
our conception closer to secondary than to primary psychopathy (Hicks et al., 2007; Newman, McCoon, Vaughn,
& Sadeh, 2005).
Narcissism.

https://dictionary.apa.org/standard-deviation
standard deviation
(symbol: SD) a measure of the variability of a set of scores or values within a group, indicating how narrowly or broadly they deviate from the mean. A small standard deviation indicates data points that cluster around the mean, whereas a large standard deviation indicates data points that are dispersed across many different values. The standard deviation is expressed in the same units as the original values in the sample or population studied, so that the standard deviation of a series of measurements of weight would be in pounds, for example.
The standard deviation is equal to the square root of the variance. If a population of n values has a mean μ, then the standard deviation is
√[Σ(Xi – μ)2/n].

https://www.alleydog.com/glossary/definition.php?term=Standard+Deviation
Standard Deviation is a measure of variation (or variability) that indicates the typical distance between the scores of a distribution and the mean. Looking at an example will help us make sense of this.

Assume a professor is interested in the satisfaction of students in her psychology class. She decides to survey the students by asking them to rate the class from one to five. From the surveys, she calculates the average score to be three. From this she can assume that people's satisfaction was average. Wanting to know more she decides to calculate the standard deviation and finds it to be equal to two--meaning, the amount of variability between the numbers was 2. This means that most scores were either a one or a five (thus producing the average of three), showing that students were either very satisfied with her class or very dissatisfied with her class (they gave ratings of 1 or 5 most frequently). By obtaining a measure of variability, she was able to understand more about how people felt with the class than she would of with just an average score. This is one of the reasons why standard deviation (and variability) is so important.
