oopsiee Florida

Oh for Krom's sake. Your bigotry is even more repulsive than his.

Hardly.

I don't see her laughing about a potential natural disaster that's already killed people and could potentially kill or destroy the homes and life of many more.

The way goon-o is.

goon-o is acting like subhuman trash worse than the Trump supporters he claims to be better than.

A high pressure system in Bermuda has been acting like a wall, keeping Dorian from heading north. But a low pressure trough moving east from the Midwest has eroded that high and is trying to pull Dorian north. Those two weather systems “are fighting it out and neither is winning,” Masters said.

There’s just no flow pushing it anywhere. Think of it like a tiny paper boat or a pebble in a stagnant pond, which just doesn’t move, said Colorado State University hurricane researcher Phil Klotzbach.

Air — high off the ground and closer to where people live — is often stagnant in the summer and this is an extreme version of that, Masters said.

may still crash right into Florida
It won't do much of anything in Florida, you pea-brained, Mooslimb sewer rat.

Just wait....and see.

Remember, you heard it here first. More proof you'll always be dumber and more inferior than your more evolved betters.

No charge.

Of all the worthless, bigoted threads this POS makes - you don't say a thing.

Not. one. peep.

Only when I stand up to this ignorant, Mooslim POS does your poutrage emerge.

Hypocrite, much?

Nope. I've said more than one thing to Guno. More than I've said to you, in fact. Ask him if you don't believe that.

Before you get your pantaloons in a knot, read what I said again... and what you've been saying. Do you want to be best, or worse-than-or-equal-to?

( at be best )

I cannot even fathom the massive rainfall. Is flooding a serious issue thing in FL or are there enough places for streams to empty in to?

There will be some possible storm surge on the coast and of course we'll have to wait and see if
Dorian is more of a wind or rain maker for the rest of us.
Remember...Florida has a limestone base so flood waters don't hang around for long. Even if it's
extreme rainfall, it will drain straight through within 5 - 7 days.

Sinkholes! Sorry, that just slipped out. Sinkholes freak me out, so Mr. Owl is constantly finding little news stories about them to show me. Sometimes he's like a mean older brother even though I'm the older one. lol

We are kind of the same way here only with sand.... heavy rain either just skates along the surface and runs down to the Lake, or sinks in, so no ponding to make its way into your home foundation.

I have a friend who lives on a SC barrier island. She's a parrot rescuer and has 31 macaws, plus assorted others from budgies on up. She spent the weekend in a rented cargo van, moving all her guys inland to various friends' homes till this blows over. Their problem there is the causeway to the mainland floods and then they are trapped on the island, usually w/o power for days or even weeks.

As usual, the NC Outer Banks where I vacation is right in the bullseye for a Cat 3.

Place is a hurricane magnet.
