To many people the education system is an employment base (and source of political power) and thus what's best for the kids often isn't a priority. Thus the conflicting agendas.

He has plenty of staff that he probably pays slave wages to help support his business.

Schools need admin staff just like his company.

Unions are there to protect american workers from people like Jobs .......who pays slave wages, pays no taxes, gives shitty benefits all so he can pocket billion. .......that's the american way!

It's ok.

They just don't know how to handle being confronted. When you live a life of privilege there are many paths you never have to cross, and being confronted by a Black person is one. Life is full of experiences not all are grand and wonderful. Being a white male in this society who has always been in the driver seat has afforded them the privilege of thinking their shit don't stink. ........it's everyone else that smells like booboo.

I will continue to confront them with all I have whether they like it or not.

There's no point with them. They can't/don't/won't see the inequality in education......their solution is to send more Blacks to prison.

I wonder if you could show some Owl posts that would lead a reasonable and fair minded person to conclude she is a racist and demonstrably dumb.

I don't speak for Owl, but I generally don't like seeing any poster get dog piled. I even try to avoid dog piling on conservative posters.

When TT gets dog piled by Trump supporters, I might just feel inclined to say something on her behalf.

Exactly. It's like where do we begin when talking about inequality in education. Hell it starts before school ever begins. Some parents read to their kids and get very involved from literally day one. There are other kids who grow up with no parents in the house or no adults who read to them or anything that stimulates growth for little children. So before kindergarten kids can be at different levels.

Then you have people with money. They have the option of going to private school or moving to a (more expensive) area with better public schools. Those without money don't have that option.

And the original post was not about inequality but about (I assume from the cartoon) how children learn differently. Which everybody already knows.

It is naive to assume inequalities in education can be solved by spending more money on those schools. And, apparently, we cannot even talk about the disadvantages of low income kids in education because "poor kids" now means black according to TTQ and therefore we are racist.
