I googled this:
"Many scientists think Earth has a maximum carrying capacity of 9 billion to 10 billion people.
One such scientist, the eminent Harvard University sociobiologist Edward O. Wilson, bases his estimate on calculations of the Earth's available resources. As Wilson pointed out in his book "The Future of Life" (Knopf, 2002), "The constraints of the biosphere are fixed." "

The idea is, 'Spaceship Earth' has a 'Carrying Capacity'.
And once you reach that point, how do you stop the population from continuing to grow. (Like the analogy of stopping a Aircraft Carrier)
There have been many quacks that have predicted that we would run out of food. This is not the same as saying we are overpopulated. You do understand the difference right?
Now. to the off topic argument that we won't have enough food; that is a lie that ignores technological advances. We can produce far more food than the people capable of eating it. That's a fact.
Now back to the topic; how long do you think it will take to "over populate" the planet given that we have been here for 6 million years and only occupy 2 to 3% right now? You keep avoiding an answer.
