I don't know if they use the actual word "hate" but they use other language like "Whore of Babylon." Or calling Catholicism a cult led by the pope.
Revelation fundies (by my definition). Revelation 17, they "interpret" that portion to believe that it is a corrupt religion. They "interpret" the clothes the whore wears to be the trappings of the Catholic Church...
Even with those teachings, I have yet to hear from any pastor on a pulpit other than the hope they can help Catholics. I will say that I once asked the pastor of that church I grew up in whether he thought Mother Theresa would go to hell, and he suggested that if she had never taken Christ into her heart as Jesus taught Nicodemus she would surely go there. So, I hear what you are saying, but saying "they aren't saved" is not "you should hate them".
How do you feel about having to say "hail Marys in order to be forgiven" Go say (X number) hail Marys and your sins will be forgiven.

Hate the sin and love the sinner. The Catholic Church has been around 2000 years and there have been a lot of very sincere Catholics. I always think about this verse. I think God's grace will cover a lot of sins.

While I won't call anyone the C word, I think the moment a woman uses that word that cloak of respect is lost. If TOP had called others the C word then she would be fair game. But I have never seen her doing that. Since apparently Christie never used that term I will also defend her when I see her called the C word.

I was born and raised Catholic and all I hope is that the next Pope is equally as kind and loving as Pope Frances. But I got a feeling the next Pope is gonna be ultra conservative and if he's black...I see ANOTHER CLARENCE TOM IN THE VATICAN...nobody sells out as quick as negro black men trying to make white motherfuckers happy

Well, I'm glad there are pastors who don't use that kind of language from the pulpit. My experience has been mainly with fundamentalist individuals. In the past I mentioned going to a fundie bible study years ago with friends from work, and many of the attendees were very anti-Catholic and not ashamed to show it. This was the group where the leader was teaching that only 666,000 "true believers" could be admitted to heaven. She had everybody repeat a "salvation prayer" to insure we'd be part of the 666K. She tried to get everybody to tithe. Everything was literal.
