According to the myths, Jesus was baptised as an example for others to follow. Catholics adopted the Pagan Roman practice of sprinkling water (or oil) on infants from the cult of Athena. The early Roman church heavily mixed in this sort of pagan ritual to ease the transition to the new religion.

Murder is also one of the Ten Commandments. Healing is doing good. It isn't wrong to do good on the Sabbath like Christ showed by his example. When you eliminate one of God's ten commandments you are second guessing God. Oh I know better that one really isn't important. Sad really.
