Papal front runners. If the Black guy becomes the next pope, white Republicans will scream DEI till their buttholes explode

No I'm saying Jesus sinned, stop being simplistic. You're like the Pharisees who couldnt see the forest for the trees. You focus on which day is the Sabbath rather than thr point of the sabbath.

The sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath. Mark 2:27
And both of you ignore the point pf Christianity, do unto others ....shall be the WHOLE OF THE LAW.

It couldn't be more obvious.

I'm sorry I thought it was about the Catholic Church and who will guide its exegesis. So examining the exegesis is fair game.
Not fair the way you play it. The Orthodox-Catholic churches have been around since 33 A.D. The Seventh Day Adventists started in the mid 1800s, yet you upstarts think you have it all over on us. You make me laugh.

Sabbatarians have their day of rest on Saturdays. Fair enough. That Catholics and Protestants observe theirs on Sunday has no bearing on you, and vice versa. Your religious leaders chose this way of interpreting the Bible, just like any other denomination that broke away from Catholicism and Orthodoxy. That Catholics and Jews order the commandments in a different way also has no bearing on you because you don't practice those faiths. You seem to have a lot of angst over things you can't change.

Neither the Pope nor the faith leaders of other denominations are going to change their theology because your sect thinks it has the only true one.

The anti-woke cardinal from Africa who conservative Catholics want as Pope

The odds of Cardinal Robert Sarah succeeding Pope Francis have shortened significantly in recent days

He has firmly adopted the conservative line on everything from same-sex marriage and gender ideology to the dangers of Western secularism, Islamic fundamentalism and the threat uncontrolled migration poses to European culture and values.

We already had one of those and he wasn't inclusive, like the word "catholic" means.

What does WHOLE OF THE LAW mean to you?

That's because Ms. Fat Lame isn't a Christian. She doesn't give a shit about fairness, only winning just like her Orange Messiah.

Where do you think your jesus got that from?

Answer- the Torah

The core principle of "do unto others" in the Torah, famously summarized by Hillel the Elder, is: "What is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow.". This negative form of the Golden Rule emphasizes avoiding actions that cause harm or distress, rather than explicitly focusing on positive actions.

Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

The subject of THIS thread is the Catholic Church. OK find me some verses that support Sunday observance. Make it snappy.
Matthew 18:18. "Whatever you bind on earth so it will be bound in Heaven." In your normal protestant bible it would be written in red... they take that particular verse to understand that Heaven reflects the changes they make here on Earth. Therefore if the brethren decide that Sunday is the holy day rather than Saturday, then the same choice is made in Heaven.

Of course I think a God that takes attendance and specifies an arbitrary day in a 7 day week is oddly specific. Calendars change. Shoot, when the Gregorian calendar was chosen to replace the Julian calendar we changed when we began a year... Are you sure you have the right "saturday" what if some thousands of years ago someone changed the calendar and Jews have been celebrating Sabbath on what used to be Wednesday, would they all be going to Hell for breaking a Commandment? Do they even believe in Hell?

It's specified in Genesis 2:2-3 that the 7th day was a day of rest and reiterated in Exodus;
  • Exodus 20:8-11: "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy."
  • Exodus 31:13-17: "Above all you shall keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations."
Christians chose to begin on Mondays and end the week on Sundays instead of the traditional Sunday through Saturday because Sunday is the day Jesus rose from his tomb after the Crucifixion. The point is moot since it's still keeping a Sabbath, a day to rest and focus upon God.

Critiquing and Judging are not the same. It's OK to critique as long as you're not condemning them or just being haughty. In fact, some of the best critiques are done with compassion. If someone is becoming oppressive or hypocritical with their views, then critique is not only warranted but good for the person.
Word game idiocy.

A distinction lost on mammon-worshipers and cultists following a false god such as Pedo Don.
