Pathetic Pelosi... just PATHETIC....

No. They're liars too.

This is funny becasue of pelosi misunderstanding things, and getting so full of herself that she thought she could win this one, and just started saying stupid shit.

This one certainly isn't over by any stretch. The CIA calculus was that by bringing Pelosi in they could shut down any further inquiry because Pelosi would go down too. That doesn't seem to be the case.

I guess you aren't going to bother responding to the substance of my posts and intend to resort to this nonsense.

In the end, Pelosi supports a Truth Commission to get to the bottom of the whole mess whereas her detractors don't. What are they hiding from?

THIS is NOT the point... I am not opposed to the "truth commission" or getting to the bottom of who all knew what and when and what took place.

The point of this thread you hack is this.... Ms. 'I wanna get to the truth' Pelosi is LYING about her position. She states in one moment that she knew about the waterboarding and then in the next breath says 'I wuz tricked agin'.

If she wants the TRUTH... then how about she leads by EXAMPLE and tells us the truth about what she knew. She is a hypocrit and a liar. Yet you continue to try to spin this into some other topic because you don't want to dwell on the fact that one of your beloved leaders is flat out lying to you. Because like a good little lemming you have been programmed to try to divert any topic that might tarnish the image of one of your benevolent Dem leaders.

Look, coming from the guy that hasn't said a word about torture from day one until now that the right has given him the cover he needs to turn this into a partisan issue, calling me a hack is pretty fucking funny.

You are assuming that Pelosi is lying. Right now there are two conflicting stories as to who was told what and when. I have detailed for you above the reasons why the CIA's version is suspect at best. You ignored it and instead just asset that Pelosi is lying based on what the CIA is saying. That's not going to cut it.

In the end, we have two conflicting stories. On one side we have someone that is inviting further inquiry to get to the bottom of it all and on the other side we have those that want this all to go away. For some reason you conclude that the former is the liar. That's just plain stupid.

Finally, Pelosi isn't saying she was tricked. She is saying she was lied to. And she is saying that when she learned that waterboarding had taken place through one of her staffer that was briefed on the matter with Jane Harman, she remained silent because (a) she didn't attend the briefing and (b) Jane Harman, ranking member on the Intelligence Committee and the person that attended the briefing, handled it.

"Look, coming from the guy that hasn't said a word about torture from day one until now that the right has given him the cover he needs to turn this into a partisan issue, calling me a hack is pretty fucking funny. "

The above is complete bullshit. I have spoken on the topic before on this site. This is simply yet another one of your pathetic attempts to divert the topic.

"You are assuming that Pelosi is lying. Right now there are two conflicting stories as to who was told what and when. I am not assuming any such thing... the only way she isn't lying is if the NYT's article misrepresented what she said. Which I grant you given the fact that it is the tabloid Times we are talking about could be the case. So which is it... did the Times fuck up again or is Pelosi lying? here is the quote from the Times again...... ""House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday acknowledged that she had learned in 2003 that the C.I.A. had subjected suspects to waterboarding, but she asserted that the agency had misled Congress about its techniques."

"In the end, we have two conflicting stories. On one side we have someone that is inviting further inquiry to get to the bottom of it all and on the other side we have those that want this all to go away. For some reason you conclude that the former is the liar. That's just plain stupid. "

See the above, because as usual it is quite apparent you didn't actually read the article. You simply resorted to your knee-jerk bullshit. Had you bothered reading posts or the article you would have seen that quote that I have now referrenced several times.

Finally, Pelosi isn't saying she was tricked. She is saying she was lied to. yeah, she is saying she was 'misled'... sorry I used the word tricked, because that is so much different.

wow... look who has received his talking point.... now he is really ready to 'debate' the issue.... just blame it on the fact that 'someone else was taking care of it'.

Like I stated, you are a complete hack.

The point of the entire thiing is to see whether they investigate Pelosi too.

If she knew and she was complicit and they don't investigate her just like the rest of them, then the entire investigation is nothing more than a political witchhunt.

If they want to investigate, try, and punish the people involved in the waterboarding (I have no problem with that), then they need to bust Nancy's ass too.

Well if Charles Karuthammer says so . . .

And what you wrote is incomprehensible.

Krauthammer offered a stinging rebuke on her hypocrisy...it was well delivered.

Please specify what was "incomprehensible" about what I wrote? It was certainly homespun simple, but not incomprehensible. It beats the "you're fucking stupid" stuff you offer up on a regular basis.

Again, unless and until you respond to my detailed post as to why I believe that CIA version of events is wrong I'm not going to respond to your garbage.

In the end, you think Pelosi is a liar because you don't like Pelosi and your Republican pals are saying it. Like a good little Republican boot-licker you chime right in . . .

I live in Pelosi's district and there is 0.000000001% chance she will get voted out of office. She's the Speaker of the House which obviously carrys all kind of power and allows her to bring mucho dinero to S.F. A Republican beating her is not even an option it would have to be another Democrat. And to take out an incumbent as well known with as many resources and as much power as Pelosi has is damn near impossible.

I agree, but Sheehan should still try another run at it. The entertainment value of a run off this time around would at least be something.

But there is no investigation at all so I don't know what you mean by "the point of the entire thing is to see whether they investigate Pelosi, too." There isn't any investigation. The point of the Pelosi attacks is to prevent an investigation from happening at all.

Again, unless and until you respond to my detailed post as to why I believe that CIA version of events is wrong I'm not going to respond to your garbage.

Like I said, you are a complete fucking hack. I am telling you why you idiot. I am saying the CIA is telling the truth based on what PELOSI said (according to the Times).

Like I said you fucking hack... you attempt to divert the topic to something other than what it is and then throw a tantrum when you get called on it.

In the future, if you wish to discuss another topic then feel free to start another thread. This thread is about Pelosi you fucking hack.

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday acknowledged that she had learned in 2003 that the C.I.A. had subjected suspects to waterboarding, but she asserted that the agency had misled Congress about its techniques."

Good... she finally owns up to when she knew... ignore the part where she didn't object to the use of waterboarding for five or six years... because it is SPIN time.... master spinna style....

"She accused the C.I.A. and Bush administration of lying to Congress about what was actually transpiring with the detainees.

“I am saying that the C.I.A. was misleading the Congress and at the same time the administration was misleading the Congress on weapons of mass destruction,” Ms. Pelosi said."

hmmm... now she is trying to turn the topic into a 'Bush lied about WMDs' ROFLMAO.... PATHETIC PELOSI...

"Ms. Pelosi said she was told at that briefing that waterboarding, one of the most controversial of the harsh techniques employed, was not being used."

Now its back to lying.... she JUST acknowledged that they told her they were using waterboarding and already in the same interview she is denying it again?

"Ms. Pelosi blamed the dispute on Republicans and others, saying they are trying to shift attention from those who authorized the interrogations and other tactics now found to be questionable."

Hmmm... if she was informed on the techniques and that they were being used then how is she any less responsible than the lawyers she wants to prosecute or thant those who used them? What's the word I am looking for.... oh yeah.... HYPOCRIT

What's the issue? Does the US torture? bush said we don't. Was he lying? If we do, who authorised it and did they violate any laws or treaties? If so, as criminals, should they be prosecuted? Where are the Law and Order bugs? What did Cheney, bush and Rumsfeld know and who approved it? Did Pelosi know? Your article states that there is no mention of which pracrices were discussed at that meeting, only Goss's(hardly a source of great integrity) word and if so, what crime is she guilty of? Explain how her guilt is greater than Cheney's, Rumsfelds, Gonzales' or bush's.
Is the CIA capable of misleading Congress? We know they have murdered foreign leaders that disagree with us. We know they conduct clandestine operations elsewhere and, illegally, here in the US. Would they mislead Congress? Of course not, and 2 plus 2 = 5.
You've fallen for the party line to shunt talk away from the fact that yes, the US does torture and we won't admit guilt. The pictures have already been released in Australia and they should pop up here soon, It should be interesting how the torture freaks try to explain it away.

Note to all... This is what Dung refuses to address. Instead he is going to divert as much as he can with all his other bullshit. I wonder why he won't comment on what the NY Times article attributes to Pelosi..... I wonder what the reason could be.....

Liberal paper, liberal Politician... one has to be wrong.... poor little dung is in a dilemma... how can he possibly decide? Oh... screw it.... lets just try to divert the topic and hope no one else notices.....

The CIA says that they told Pelosi in a 2002 briefing, the only briefing she ever received from the CIA, that they had used waterboarding on detainees. Pelosi says that is bullshit and that not only did they not tell her that waterboarding had been used, but they specifically told her in that 2002 briefing that they had not used waterboarding. This is the issue.

Pelosi further says that she only learned that the CIA used waterboarding in 2003 when she was told about it by one of her staff members that attended a briefing with the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee. Pelosi readily admits that this is the case. She says that she left it to Harman to levy objections to the program. We can debate the merits of that all you want, but it's got nothing to do with whether Pelosi is a liar.

So, the issue is the 2002 briefing and what the CIA told her. As I pointed out above there are ample reasons to believe that the CIA has it wrong. You seem to think otherwise. Why?

Note to hotshot, I've addressed it plenty. You seem to want to conflate Pelosi being briefed by the CIA in 2002 with a Pelosi staffer attending a briefing with Jane Harman in 2003. Those two things are not the same.

What's the issue? Does the US torture? bush said we don't. Was he lying? If we do, who authorised it and did they violate any laws or treaties? If so, as criminals, should they be prosecuted? Try updating your diatribe.... the US has already stated that it used 'harsh interrogation techniques' (aka torture). So no, the issue is not whether or not we used these methods, it is not about Bush, it is about the hypocricy of the left and Nancy Pelosi in wanting to 'get to the truth' while at the same time trying to cover up their complicity to the torture.

Second... if you had actually read the article by the NY Times you would have noticed the first fucking paragraph....

""Under fire from Republicans for what she knew about harsh questioning of terror detainees, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday acknowledged that she had learned in 2003 that the C.I.A. had subjected suspects to waterboarding, but she asserted that the agency had misled Congress about its techniques.""

So no... it is not just Goss that is saying she is wrong... it is Pelosi herself that is contradictory.

Finally, no one has suggested that what Pelosi did is any greater/less right/wrong than Cheney or Bush etc... that is simply an idiotic strawman.

Note to hotshot, I've addressed it plenty. You seem to want to conflate Pelosi being briefed by the CIA in 2002 with a Pelosi staffer attending a briefing with Jane Harman in 2003. Those two things are not the same.

No you fucking moron, I am not saying that. I am stating that Pelosi herself said she was informed of the waterboarding in 2003. Do you comprehend it now moron. Because according to the times..... she said...

"Under fire from Republicans for what she knew about harsh questioning of terror detainees, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday acknowledged that she had learned in 2003 that the C.I.A. had subjected suspects to waterboarding, but she asserted that the agency had misled Congress about its techniques.""

due note the words this time you fucking hack.... it says Pelosi acknowledged that she had learned in 2003 that the CIA had subjected suspects to waterboarding. Do I need to post the quote again for you????

Just in case....

This does not say she received the information directly from the CIA. It says she was informed that waterboarding was being used. That means she knew about it. Period. But do keep spinning like the good little lemming that you are.
