Right, because the GOP has their best interest at heart and has done so much for the economy.
That line is laughable.
The GOP isn't in the driver's seat, remember? Bush drove us in a ditch, and we elected Obama! Ring a bell?
I swear, if I hear one more liberal goob yammering about how Republicans haven't done anything, my head is going to explode! The Republicans barely have a majority in the House, they don't control Congress, and they have a militant anti-GOP president who wouldn't sign a damn thing they passed anyway, so what the living fuck do you expect Republicans to do? Overthrow Obama and declare martial law? I mean, they are limited by the Constitution, or do you just not comprehend that small detail of government? In order to BLAME Republicans, you first have to elect them to power and give them a chance to implement THEIR policies... THEN if things are still shitty, blame away!
Dixie, do try and keep up. There was a comment made about a line spoken by a republican. I responded with a comparison.
Now, you may not like it, but the economy tanked during Bush's watch. Obama hasn't gotten it back on track. So neither party has helped the college grad living at home with Mom & dad.
But claiming that it is all Obama's fault (as the repub did). And claiming things will imrpove if the repubs are elected (which he as well). Is laughable.
Did Ryan mention anything about congressional republicans obstructing bills that would have improved the recovery on the basis that helping the American people might get Obama re-elected?Actually Ryan acknowledged that the economy was in the sh*ts when Obama took office. He then proceded to rail on all that Obama has done while in office.
I liked Ryan's line quoted in the OP but then again I'm partisan.
It was his "lipstick on a pig" moment.
Didn't work for Palin, won't work for him.
Did Ryan mention anything about congressional republicans obstructing bills that would have improved the recovery on the basis that helping the American people might get Obama re-elected?
Nice to see Repulbicans put their country first.
What bills? More spending? Yeah, it really worked the first time. Just sit down. Relax and watch Maobama get put in the back of the bus.
23 million out of work thanks to Maobama
What lipstick on a pig moment? She never said lipstick on a pig. But, I guess you think she actually said "I can see Russia from my house".
How do you liberals get through life so misinformed?

And it is your belief that the Democrats have their best interest at heart? Since when did you become a flaming lib? The GOP cares about getting power, true. But in the process they will create an environment that is better for job growth. Everybody wins.
It's putting party over country to not support a proposal by the President you don't feel is a good one? Not agreeing with you on that.
If you feel the jobs bill is what America needs/needed and want more of it vote for Obama and Congressional Democrats.
What I find difficult is when a party votes unanimously against the proposals. How is it that not even one person can find something to support? And this goes for both parties but I think the republicans do it more.
Yes, Republicans tend to vote more in blocks than do Democrats. With Republicans you tend to have two groups, social conservatives and pro-business free market types. Democrats obviously have many different interest groups so it makes it harder for them to stick together.
I have no doubt that how Republicans vote, especially in an election year, is determned by politics. But opposing everything Obama does is not a risk free proposition. If voters like what Obama is proposing and the Republicans in Congress are against it they can easily be voted back out of power.
It is a damn shame they have to put The USA in peril in the meantime!
